You're right, they're getting outplayed right nowOKC playing like they’re the ones who had a player tear his Achilles in the first quarter.
That Dort call, the NBA sucks.
Tatum's was vs the Knicks yeah?
All three of these involved the Pacers too
Pushing the pace this hard for so many games a season just isn’t healthy. You factor in all the tread on these kids legs coming into the league thanks to years of AAU and prep tour leagues and this is what happens.Yeah, something strange is up. Whatever new trendy training method or supplement is going around? Ditch it now. The wheel was just fine before.
John Haliburton confirmed it’s an Achilles. Damn
Yeah you’re right. I had somehow conflated that to the series last year where Tyrese blew out his leg against the Celtics halfway through game two.Tatum's was vs the Knicks yeah

We’ve seen the same with pitchers in baseball as guys throw the ball harder than they physically should be able too too many times and blow out their elbows like two years into their careers.
(Also in the case of Tyrese, this was always a concern just based on how skinny he’s always been)
The thing is that none of their *high level* picks have panned out at all. They’ve had success on the margins with Nembhard and Sheppard as second rounders but Myles was picked by the old Larry Bird regime a full decade ago and Jarice and Benn have both failed to get any traction at all with Carlisle. The one place that the pacers have absolutely killed it is via the trade market, which might honestly be the first time that a teams ever had success purely trading for a core.Honestly, if Jarace Walker gets a chance to shine next season, Hali comes back after, and they keep it together then they might be primed to dominate after the next season. They'll still obviously be good regardless if they don't tank it. They even have Furphy who has upside. This team has shown how to build through the draft and with fit moves.
