6th - I have to disagree. We aren't crucifying him and he's been around message boards long enough to know that if he's going to come here and post a "farewell" address proclaiming he's no longer a fan, then some people aren't going to be happy about it.

Sorry, but he could have simply left. When he decided to start a thread to talk about his disillusionment, etc. he left the door open for people to respond.

No prob, VF. You know that you and I do not always agree. However, I too must speak my feelings on the subject.

Nothing new because bandwagon fans come and go.

So he doesn't like the new Kings. Well buddy that is part of NBA life and other sports where players come and go. One thing for sure, you stick by your team one way or another. If not, it's your lost and not the team.

So good ridden.

Sort of like when a former lover calls to tell you that they are no longer speaking to you...

Slim I'm ashamed. How on earth did it take you so long to respond to this thread! ;)

6th if he had even made a post in an ongoing thread that he/she had lost the fire (or insert your favorite cliche here) I wouldn't say much about it, but he created an entire thread just for him/her. He/She is calling for attention, the least we can do is give it in the most undiplomatic way possible. Why else would someone start a thread like this?

Oh, and I'm pretty sure I'm without sin in this area. Does that mean I can start throwing? :D

I'm now officially a Bulls/Wade Fan.... I have been a Bulls fan since the MJ days and a Kings fan since JWill arrived...

But right now, my joy, passion, excitement and watching Kings basketball is suddenly fading away, and I know deep down, I no longer like/love this new Kings! And that is the fact!

I willl still be here, visiting this board, predicting Kings game (damn I missed 2 straight games now) reading all your opinions, etc....

I'll say it again, Thanks for the memories Kings......

I understand where Naj is coming from. He/ she has no allegiance to the Sacramento being from an entirely different continent. He/ she loved watching the Kings the last 5 years or so, when they were a high octane team, but now the thrill for him/her is now gone. Being from India myself, I don't know anything about Sacramento apart from what I read on this board and it was the Kings style of play that really got me hooked from the getgo. Now that style has faded with the core being broken apart, but the thrill of supporting this team for me has not changed one bit. I started learning how great the Kings community, from the organization to the team, down to every last fan. This will always be a feel good team for me and I have come to realize although it is exciting to watch our team play, win or lose, there is something beautiful that transcends throughout the Kings community and I believe it starts with the fans.

Hey man, I've been a 49er fan since '76. Last year was brutal. I can understand that these KINGS aren't the KINGS we're used to, but I still support them.

I've gotta admit though, I don't get up for the games like I did before the trades. I'm realistic about this team now and don't EXPECT them to contend for a title.

This has been a really fun, if sometimes disappointing, run. I look forward to seeing what's in store for our team. :)

Been a Niner fans since 79. Giants fan since 86 and Kings fan since 87. They are where my loyalties lie till the day I die. Once a fan....Always a Fan!

ALOT of losing seasons but hey 5 championships:p

I really don't think where you're located has anything to do with it. I'm from England and live in Georgia but love the Kings and the 49ers. Both teams have given me disappointments but that's just what happens when you're a fan. You have to take the good with the bad. Wouldn't it be boring if we won all the time? Well maybe not but you get the point. I must admit I haven't been Kings fan for long time like a lot of you guys but that doesn't make you any less of a fan and I'm not going anywhere despite all the injuries and trades.

hmmmmmmmmm I tend to enjoy me beer until it's empty, not just throw it away and get another just because itz half full. To each his own I suppose. No matter how bad it gets, it will never be as bad as Bill Russell and Ralph Sampson under contract again! (and we survived that fiasco)

For me I really couldn't care less if someone decides that they don't want to be a Kings fan anymore. It's no loss to me. For me Sacramento is home in my heart and not being able to live there at the moment is very hard. Part of what makes the Kings special to me is that when I watch or listen to a game I feel home again. That's what they are for me The Kings ARE Sacramento and I will support them until I die because they will always be a part of me no matter who is wearing the uniform.
