Team Statistical Progress

Don't Make Me Use The Bat
On Jan 17th I did a stats thread based on our early season results, or lack thereof. It can be found here: http://www.kingsfans.com/forums/showthread.php?43665-A-Stat-Thread-Numbers-Thus-Far

I've been mentioning some of the individual progress in variosu grades threads, but thought I would start a new thread comparing the team numbers then, what they have been over the last 9 games, the change, and where we would rank if had been playing at the current pace all season:

So basically, we're scoring more points, but allowing the same number, which is keeping blowouts at bay. No surprise that assists have gone up as the rate of FG% has gone up as well.
Still a young/aggressive team, which is probably why TO and steals are constant - if Smart wants to keep running, the scoring will likely continue to stay high at both ends.
I didn't expect FT% to change too much. I think 75% as a team is pretty good, and we're almost there.
It's interesting that blocks have gone down - how does that tie into DMC getting more minutes and staying out of foul trouble? Is he not going after as many? Does Hayes' return into the lineup leave a void in that metric?

One thing is for sure: players having defined roles tend to create more consistency. Also, we're still near the bottom of the league in many categories, but we started out so poorly that it will take a month of awesomeness to climb out.

Very cool to see. All we can ask for is to see improvement from these guys, and their a much better team than they were at the beginning of the year

It is nice to see statistical improvement:) It is also nice to see some plays being ran and the team having success with them!

My thought exactly.

Thanks for the stats, Brick. It will be very interesting to see what these stats are in about 15 games or so.
