We have experienced some great playoff games and moments as fans of the Kings. I thought it would be interesting to look back at some of those moments. Add your commentary and key points of the games that I may not have covered.

Moments #13 and 12

13. Minnesota 83, Sacramento 80
Game 7, 2004 Western Conference2nd Round
May 19, 2004
Target Center, Minneapolis

The last game of the Divac/Webber/Stojakovic era. The Kings really did not play well that night, but was in the game in the latter part of the fourth quarter. Game remembered for Chris Webber’s last second in and out three point attempt, Brad Miller’s body slam flop of a Minnesota player, and the dominance of Kevin Garnett – 32 points, 21 rebounds, 5 blocks and 4 steals.

12. Minnesota 114, Sacramento 113 OT
Game 3, 2004 West. Conference 2nd Round
May 10, 2004
Arco Arena, Sacramento

This was a game that the Kings let slip away. After falling behind late in the fourth quarter by double digits, a magnificent, dramatic shooting display by Peja Stojakovic brought the Kings all the way back to force overtime. In the overtime, a phantom foul of Kevin Garnett put “The Big Ticket” at the line to make free throws to clinch the game for the Timberwolves. One of the more heartbreaking games in Arco Arena history.

In my opinon (and I've said this many times), #1 was negative-- Game 2 against the Mavericks in 2003.

The thing I remember most about #13 above was Doug Christie's defense at the end of that game, without which the Kings wouldn't have even had a chance to tie.

regardless of number, I'd say Kevin Martin's buzzerbeater and Doug Christie coming back in the game after injuring himself are pretty high on the list.

One of the more disappointing parts of that Game 3 OT loss to Minny by one point is that Peja hit a three late in the game and was fouled and then proceeded to miss the FT.

K-Mart's buzzer beater? It was a pretty good one, but considering it was in the first round and in a series we lost, I don't know that I'd put it in the top 5.

That said, I definitely wouldn't include any games we lost. How are those top moments? The first two games up there ripped my heart out.

Remember how Webber fell to his knees after it rimmed out. I did the same thing in my GF's living room without noticing Webb did the same thing.
:) I did that, too in my living room. I jumped up off my couch when I thought it was going in, then fell to my knees when it rimmed out.

I felt like I was the one who missed the shot. I was depressed the whole night. When Barry hit that 3 during the playoffs this year. The first thought that came to my mind was the Webber shot.

Not top moments, memorable moments. I honestly believe that as a fan the things that are the most memorable are the tough, heartbreaking losses. They can sometimes be the watershed events of your franchise.

I think it should be changed then. I remember the first home playoff win in Sacramento history the most, but I'm reminded every day on TV when they show that dumb Horry shot over and over again...so I don't really count that one. The topic is a little illusive; however, good idea.

That was classic in the playoffs last year when Horry still got booed at Arco. I love Arco! (not that we do not need a new stadium)

I'm sure Horry loved it. I always thought it was great during half time when the jumbo-screen would show one of those "I love this game" clips and ARCO would boo the short clip of Kobe.

I was in a bar in Savannah, GA that night. After the loss, I put my head down on the bar in sorrow. I almost got kicked out because the bartender thought I was drunk. I had to explain that I was only putting my head down in disbelief. Sad, sad night.

Just ouch.

Game 5 should be #1.

You know, "the shot" (positive) game 5.
ditto...this is the crowning moment in my being a sports fan, and a Kings fan. I was watching it in the lobby of the IMAX theatre...when he hit the shot, I ripped my shirt off and ran up K Street in tears, went into the old Marilyns at 12th and K and partied with everyone there.

i thought tom cruise swooped in and grabbed the ball which was actually FILLED WITH EXPLOSIVES and nicholas cage shouted RUNNN with a bad moustache as the staples center collapsed but i guess that was just THE BEST DREAM EVER and not what really happened at all
