Synopsis of ESPN Summer Grades for Kings?

Well, "fairly satisfied" is a GOOD thing, maybe it doesn't sound like it to you folks, but maybe I didn't use the correct "terms".

I don't care about more picks, like I've mentioned...Petrie doesn't get extra draft picks anyways, regardless if I want him to or not. So I wasn't too surprised, neither did I hold a grudge against him for doing that. John Wall is fine where he is, Cousins was the right pick up, (I hope) and Hassan well he's a project, so I'll be waiting to see how he turns out.
 
Fairly implies on your end that it could've been done better. So, what would've put this draft "over the top" for you? Who would've you picked?

I give them an A based on how difficult it is to get two of the top 5 best players in the league to join forces, even though they are friends.

If the scale is different, then I don't know why you brought the Heat in the conversation.

If your scale for us is based on rebuilding like you stated above, then our grade should be based on rebuilding. Part of the rebuilding process is the gamble on the unknown.
Yes, you are correct. Rookies have never played an NBA game. Now unless you believed we can snatch Wall with the 5th pick, I cannot fathom how we could have done any better in our draft. Now you have every right to disagree, but you still have not provided any critique on the draft itself, but rather have continued to commingle the acquisition process and draft process in this grading process.

I'm not trying to be a dick, but rather trying to point out the flaw in your reasoning.

Understood. You keep mentioning John Wall though, like I wanted him on this team or something? We did swell in the draft, I mean maybe you mis interpreted "fairly satisfied" with something bad, but it isn't.

As for the Miami Heat, I brought them up based on the team I give an A to, only one.

Oh, I already came in here and said what I needed to say. As for what your wanting out of me, I'm not gonna be able to give you that because it seems the way I grade things are WAY too different than you.
 
I can't believe we are arguing what an A should be when the Supersonics:p just got an A for doing much less. Unless you count an extension that was always going to be signed.

The only thing you can do is compare what we did to what the rest of the league did, and it just so happens we just set ourselves up for the future, something only one other team did. Now if you want to be critical you could say that the heat were the only team that should get an A, but then I argue there were two different articles rating different conferences. I think an A is appropriate for what we did in the west, lets not forget most teams didn't get half as much done as we did.

That line had me laughing. I didn't know it was possible to draft a rookie who has played.

Draft grades are entirely based on potential and filling a team's needs. How else can you grade them, unless you draft a rookie who has played??? Whiteside and Cousins have tremendous potential, and they fill the needs of our team. We also didn't just get a shot blocked for a one year rental, but did so while getting rid of Noc and Hawes (who you admitted you didn't want either).
We still have lots of cap space for the future.

You defend your giving the team a B so strongly, yet when it's all said and done, you admit to have no clue what an A is. That sir, is logic for you.
 
Kings deserve an A because they filled their needs in the offseason (most of them), plus the draft was awesome.

you can't just say that and have it be true. If you're using a grade scale like you've admitted to using, then you have to follow the most basic and important rule that it has to offer. It is scaling your score from best to worst. That is the point of the scale. You just have YOUR grade and dismiss any logic by proclaiming that you have a right to make your own grade.
