Suns trade for Bradley Beal

It gets them away from having a bunch of mostly disappointing big men with health questions to one disappointing but still skilled and intriguing big man and Banchero. But also ties up a lot of money spread around 3 guys to 1.

They also pick 6 and 11 so I think I might like this for them?
Yeah, in a way it’s just a way for them to extend their rebuild but it’s not like Isaac is a huge part of their future anyways and Bol Bol still has that ticking time bomb injury concern to him as well. An Ayton move would free up some roster space and playing time for those two new draft picks and theoretically give the Magic a second/third “star” to pair with Paolo and Franz going forward (star is in quotation marks because aside from Paolo, neither Ayton or Franz has really ever consistently shown star-level play).

Not sure if this is the deal, but Magic and Suns do seem like a good fit as trade partners, as the Magic could use a consolidation trade and the Suns want the opposite.

Bol Bol's contract is not guaranteed if he is waived by June 30th.

They have a better chance at getting pick 6 to be #2 than either of those guys, but if you have Franz as #3 and Ayton as #4 without the baggage of being the team that drafted him first overall, I think you have a decent young core and outside of Ayton, the next man due for a payday is Franz in 2 years, so presumably they may still have some cap to play with before committing to Paolo and being locked.
