since the step back three...how many looks at the basket did Omri get? oh the last shot down 4. Give yourself an infraction. You just insulted me. fanboy troll? i called someone a homer and you jumped on me with 2 demerit points. Omri should get more shots because he is clutch. Isn't the objective to win the basketball game?
But giving the ball to your favorite player isn't going to necessarily win games. He was incredibly shaky from outside in the first half and despite getting his stroke back, we shouldn't force the ball to him just in case he can suddenly make everything. The flow of the game dictates what happens.

Okay, I'll rephrase...

You, as a poster on this board, are beginning to approach the kind of poster for whom it is very hard to maintain any degree of respect because of your proclivity for promoting your own favorite player at the expense of the rest of the Sacramento Kings team.

As far as your game-related comment goes, Omri was an integral part of the offense coming down to the wire, but it's NOT just about Omri. It's about the TEAM. I'm only guessing you're not watching because if you are, you aren't paying attention. Evans did kick out to Omri when he was open, and Omri was instrumental a couple of times in helping clear the way for Evans to drive inside. That is TEAM basketball and that's what it's all about.

Better?

Wow. Omri's last shot was most possibly the ugliest shot in the history of any thing ever. Wow
I'd give him a break though.
It was a 30 ft jumper down 4 with 2.5 on the clock.

Another close loss...
On the bright side, rookies showing their stuff.
The future holds great for this team.

We were down by 4 with 2.5 seconds left when he got the ball. Omri could have launched the long shot immediately and maybe hit the three and been down one with probably less than one second on the clock and absolutely no hope. Instead, he hesitated a milli-second to try to get defender to foul on the shot which would have been a potential four point play to tie the game at the buzzer - brilliant! Just did not work - that time. Omri playing like a seasoned vet - which he is having played overseas professionally for several years.

and so it begins again

Webber vs Pedja reloaded
With a couple of minor changes:

•There are more moderators around, all of whom were around for the 4-16 silly stuff, and learned a lot from it.
•The infraction system allows us - the moderators - to control the situation much better without blanket banning (although I confess I loved being able to use *poof* dust)
•Most of our more tenured members don't rise to the bait any longer.

:)

Yeah. I was just hoping we could potentially get a shot off that wasn't on the half-court line.

The future looks really good. I'm thinking that if Reke and Donte don't both sprain their ankles, we would have won this game.

Casspion,
Omri is a very good spot up shooter, and is average at best in the post right now. He is NOT a one on one player. His strength is NOT in iso situations. When he is shooting 46% from 3, teams stop leaving him open. Until he develops more, and is able to get off his own shot, don't know what you expect. Its the nba dude, he's not going to get 10 wide open 3's a game. And Omri plays well in the FLOW of the game. As soon as he starts forcing it, bad things happen. Its about the Kings, not Omri's stats.

Comment from Paul Westphal:

This "close but no cigar" is gonna end, I don't know when but it's gonna end. I feel for the players; they're playing hard. They played a great fourth quarter - a great second half - and executed down the stretch, got excellent shots every single time, hustle plays and stops and still we came up short. Is it upsetting? Yes, but we will not be discouraged and we will start winning these games.
If that's not COY, I don't know what is. He's still talking, primarily giving props to Jon Brockman. I love this coach!!!!!

Another close loss!

While its great to see the young team with a fighting spirit and never say die attitude, its becoming a bit depressing that we keep losing the close ones lately.

On a positive note, our rookies are really kicking some backside out there. Tyreke, Omri and Jon were all great tonight!

Sooner or later we will start winning these types games....surely :(

I feel like that if we played 100 games against the Grizz and Thunder, we would come up on top. Thats the way I feel, i don't know why, I just think we are better.
we would have a chance to win a playoff series against both of them for sure. We just lack talent upfront to wine more games in regular season. Their guys don't miss point blank layups - they dunk it.

I'm upset because the Grizz and the Thunder are at .500 so far this season and I feel like we are better than both of them.
Well I don't think any of those teams have had to play against so many top tier teams in such a small amount of time. Anyways great game kings! And try to rest up those legs Dante and tyreke.
