You're right, Slim. We shouldn't stoop to such humor and probably pinch it off for the time being. Nobody likes being the butt of other's jokes.

I thought the Brave Little Soldier's MO was to complain to the media about all of his injuries that are really going to keep him out of the game because he can't possibly play, only to bravely man up because his team needs him and play as if he's...not really injured at all.

IT was more of a say nothing, play 2/3 of a crappy game, then go puke in the locker room. I'm not sure that's really remotely the same mentality.

No, if the title had passed to IT, he would have come stumbling back onto the court, probably in borrowed shorts, so that Grant and Jerry could pontificate on how great he was.
 
At least by having to squat over a toilet Malone finally got IT in a defensive stance.

My point, although stated poorly, was that you could have simply made the comment without the sniping at any "IT family members." Your joke itself was no better or worse than anything else that's been said either here or in the game thread.

You could also go around without commenting on how every other comment rubs you the wrong way.

Do you really want everyone to start playing that game, where we just go around telling everyone when a post rubs them the wrong way or included something which isn't needed? Apparently, yes.

I would certainly say yes. If I thought any of these inane comments would be said about Gay it might be different. They wouldn't and it isn't.

If any of these inane comments applied to Gay, they may have been said about him. But they don't, so they weren't.

And, if you want to take it there, the comments weren't really being said about anybody. Until you came in on your white horse, like someone had thrown up the "IT Signal," Entity was the only person in the thread who had even mentioned anyone else by name. And, even then, most of the rest of us ignored him; the rest of us were just having fun making BM jokes. One could make the argument that, if you hadn't made it about Thomas, the thread would have died already.
