Fact is that Peja requested a trade. Another fact is that he has not rescinded his trade request.

Peja's wants a trade for business reasons more than anything. He wants to go to another team so he can increase his statistical production. I don't blame him. On most teams he could get 20-25 shots a night and more than likely lead the league in scoring. On this team he won't get that many attempts as long as Webber is around and especially now that Mobley is here.

Most players only get one shot at a big max contract and on a crappy team he can be the "main guy" and I don't doubt he would be an instant MVP candidate (look at his production last season when Webb was out). Then when contract time comes around....CHA CHING!!!!

BTW - when was the last time You scored on us ? Ask Youur grandfather - he might remember

Actually, he informally did. Once the season started and the drama ceased, he took his house off the market and bought his Parents a seperate house.

Webber isn't a mental headcase and this was just one freakin loss. Get over it. No more bashing on Webber. Give the guy a break, he contributed a lot over the past 5-6 games. End of story.

5 and 6 games is not the end of the story THERE IS AN 82 GAME SEASON AND POST SEASON.But me personally I think Webb has alot to prove and one thang he knows himself he needs to get more HEART.WEBB knows he gets fragile under pressure.

I don't see that as an imformal way of rescinding his trade request, what is he supposed to do, sell his house even though he won't be traded. Trust me, everything he has said or done, like putting his house up for sale, was carefully crafted by a team of agents in order to show they mean business.

He wants out and I would even admit I don't blame him. He is one of those guys that will only get one shot at a max deal and that will probably be his last deal until he retires from the game. He wants to raise his stock. On another team he could do that, on the Kings he can't.

...I was refering to this thread. As you said...there is an 82 game season and this isn't the end of the world. You're right, he does have a lot to prove, so let whatever you're bashing at Webber go *POOF*

STK - We don't know what he told the Maloofs, or Geoff Petrie, or anyone else for that matter. The team of agents pretty much shot themselves in the foot if they were the ones crafting that whole "demand a trade" scenario because it got them nothing. Now, Pedja's every word, movement on the court, etc. is being more closely examined that ever before. If he wants to raise his stock, he needs to shut the bleep up and play. Play his heart out. That will get him a maximum contract. Whining in the press won't.

Freak - He's not going to stop. In fact, I actually firmly believe it's the only card he has to play in this game.

Well it was worth trying :p I guess you can't change a person's perspective on just anything.

Got them nothing....we'll see about that. What we do know is he told the Maloofs is that he wants to be traded, and I have yet to hear otherwise.

Just a hint for some of you:

Sometimes people come to message boards and post outrageous comments to see if they can get other people to react. ;)

That's the point. Just because you haven't heard anything contrary, doesn't mean it didn't occur. You wouldn't have heard about the trade request in the first place if Pedja hadn't leaked it to the media. The Maloofs and Geoff Petrie do not put their business out on the streets.

Think about this: If Pedja, realizing he had done the wrong thing by going to the press, went to Petrie or the Maloofs and apologized, you wouldn't ever hear a thing about it. Why? Because Petrie and the Maloofs wouldn't say anything. Pedja wouldn't say anything. What Pedja WOULD do is make sure he didn't mention the trade again to the media, which is exactly what has happened. He has been very vocal in talking about how it's all about team, what the team needs to do, etc.

If you choose to believe that he still wants a trade, that's fine. But to say it's a fact because you haven't heard anything differently is to assume that it would be made public. I don't think that's a valid assumption.

I don't choose to believe he still wants a trade, all the facts say that he does until he says he doesn't then I will believe so. Until Peja himself, not the Maloofs, Petrie, Adelman, or Whoopie Goldberg herself, says otherwise its fact.

I will agree however that other than that it is all speculation.

We're arguing semantics here. ;)

The facts say nothing. You interpret "facts" to mean a certain thing. I'm saying the absence of action can also be interpretted to mean a certain thing.

We're in agreement that it's all speculation. I just wish it had never happened because it hasn't done Pedja any good. It was an ill-advised move to take it to the media. If he still wants a trade, I wish him well. If Petrie does it, it will be for the Kings and not for Pedja.

We'll all know eventually. Right now, I just want to see him put forth his best effort - for himself, for the Kings, and for us.

GO KINGS - all of them! :D

On that we are in total and complete agreement.

Iam not saying he faked the injury what Iam saying is his body gave out on him due to fear of the competition.I don't think he wanted to handle the pressure that was coming at him.So his body caved into the pressuse and pressure does bust pipes. He didn't want any parts of that game last night. But I will say this that he fought the last game against Duncan and the spurs,But you have to keep that fire coming because timmy and T-mass and popovich were coming for blood last night.they got what they wanted a kick butt game.

Webber's body give out because of the fear of the competition? These are the same Spurs they already beat right, and this is the same Webber right?

I don't think there is anyone on this team with more heart, actually. I am a huge Webber fan, and I can understand critcizing his play sometimes, and criticize his decision making sometimes, but I don't think you can question this guys heart and desire. By the way ... since it's an "82 game season" lets take a look back at this season so far. Has ANYONE on the Kings been more clutch or less "fragile under pressure" than Webber? Don't think so.

Webber has THE MOST heart on our team. What does he have to prove. Look at his on the court actions and off the court. He is the fire in the looker room, and ANY kings player would agree so dont try to make an argument there. How is he fragile under pressure? HES BEEN INJURED FOR 2+ YEARS! Where have you been? He got injured last night, but o yah, he faked because he was scared right?

I wouldn't say he has the most Heart on the TEAM.The great one's don't stay injured every year,The great one's have durability.I would say mike bibby has the most heart on the TEAM.It is not about all tha rah rah rah in the lockeroom.Anybody can run there mouth all that fire dragon smoke woof don't make you a leader and it doesn't make you the man.I would say mike bibby has the most heart considering he has came through in BIG GAMES when it really counts during his career.Mike has won NCAA and did it having BIG GAMES when it counted not regular season glory that is worth nothing.

If the great ones don't stay injured...Why have all the superstars in the NBA have been injured? Save your energy for the next game.
