Steve Young to HOF

For those who care.... Steve Young, Dan Marino and a couple other fellers were enshrined in the HOF over the weekend.

Congrats to Steve. Definitely my favorite NFL player of all time.

Yeah, he is right up there near the top for me. His enshrinement was a no-brainer, AFAIC.

young was a great player, BUT Joe Montana was the g.o.a.t
You know, they were both great players. But I actually give young Steve a bit of an edge. Yes, Joe had a great ability to see the whole field, and had an amazing talent for throwing to the "correct" receiver. However, he was surrounded by colossal talent, especially his Offensive line. He had time to operate, and to choose the correct receiver. If you remember Young's best years, he was constantly being harassed and having single handedly make something happen. He was more responsible for the success of the teams he led then JM was.

Montana and Young were different kinds of QB. The 49ers were just lucky to have both of them!!!

Congrats, Steve. It's a well-deserved honor.

Don't know if I could pick between Young & Montana. Both in the "all time greats" category of QBs. And both part of a very exciting and fun part of 49er history. Boy, I miss those days.....

Big Congratulations to Steve Young -- it is well deserved!
