Starters are good, It's the bench. fix the Bench!

I finally got to see a game and was not impressed. Something has to be done and quickly or we'll be saying lottery. The Webb trade was never good IMO and it's looking worse and worse by the minute.:(

O, how I long for the days of the Bench Mob...when our bench was just as potent as our starters...how did we let all those pieces slip away so easily??

Corliss tries to pack his minutes in, and he makes bonehead mistakes as a result, racking up fouls. Gives us a low post game, but can't stay in the game.

Skinner fumbles the ball around and racks up way too many silly fouls to give anyone a decent rest. One good thing- he's almost a shot blocker!

KT has been clanking shots left and right. My belief is he's trying too hard to regain his starting spot...which, IMO, he rightfully lost out to Reef.

Jason Hart is an ocean of unproductivity. I don't get why he even plays.

Cisco, a rookie, is probably the most consistent- but then you have to toss in the rookie mistakes- see last night's ill-timed 30-footer.

K-Mart is either on or off, there seems to be no in between. And he pulled a big no-no with Adelman, talking to the media.

Excellent assessment, KC.

Corliss can't stay in the game...dang refs simply key on him.

Skinner, who I love for shotblocking, has concrete hands. Do not give him the ball on offense. He loses it almost every time.

KT, may be trying to get his job back, or may be sulking so much that he flat does not care. He has played better, however, when playing with 3 or 4 starters.

Hart is almost useless. He makes really crappy decisions and, as the player handling the ball the most, that is bad...bad...bad. Play Price consistently and see if he is any better.

When I criticise Cisco, I get a "give him a break, he is a rookie" response. I hate watching all those rookie mistakes while we are losing. Rookie mistakes can be absorbed when we either have the game well in hand, or we are losing by 30 and it is hopeless.

Kevin's inconsistency drives me crazy, but he will not become consistent without decent playing time. Notice that he plays well when in with 3-4 starters. He plays really crappy when in with 3-4 bench players.

Whatever happens with the starters, who seem mismatched and have critical weaknesses, they at least have talent and have shown flashes. But the bench....how could you NOT make a move to shore up that bench? They have shown absolutely completely nothing. If it weren't for the names on the backs of the jerseys, and you just walked in for the first time and watched them play, you would laugh at us as having the most pathetic NBDL bench in the league. It drives me up the wall as a fan -- if I were the coach I'd probably be throwing things.
So why are we still looking? Brick is the answer to our woes.

remember last year when we would just give the ball to corliss and let him score one on one? it was kinda ugly basketball, but it was working... why dont we try that again this year?
