Pretty interesting 5 game strech coming up for the Kings. Anything from 1-4 to 5-0 is a possibility. If we go 3-2, it would be pretty good. 4-1 would at least give us division lead maybe even # 1 in the west. A 5-0 miracle would make some people "eating their words"
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Last game was fun but I would be helpful if Kings quickly forget it. Next 5 will be much harder. No place for a false sense of security. It starts with a big game tonight. For many reasons. Spurs are suposedly the best team in the NBA. They have the best record, arguably the best coach and the best player, they play the best defense etc. We still can beat them since we have done just that not that long ago - and not even playing that well in the process.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Spurs have beaten Phoenix 2 nights ago. It was impressive and will give them a lots of confidence. Also Parker was benched in the 4th and OT (assuming Pop had a nice coversation with him after the game) so we have to expect him being very agressive. Manu always plays us well which is scary considering his last game. Duncan was owned by CW on a "who is your daddy" level lats time we played them so he will have something to prove. Hopefully Horry will join Rasho on the bench in a suit. I would not mind him sitting one more. Spurs might try to go small and it will be crucial wheather RA will try to match up or to make Spurs match up. Finally, Pop will make sure that Pedja does not have a game - he did last time by any means neccessary.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Kings will have to play solid D and rebound well. We need to try to contain their backcourt (pick and roll). Manu killed Phoenix on a P & R with TD in the 4th. If we share the ball well and move the ball well we should be OK. Quick shots are not desirable tonight.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------

CW - can he do a similar job on TD again ? Would be very important. Ofensively, he needs to try to penetrate more and get their big people in foul trouble. Hopefully does not have any coallisions with Tony Massenburg.

Pedja - will need big help from the team to have a similar performance to his last game vs Spurs. His shots will not come easy tonight. He will get a nice beating out there. Hopefully he can still stay agressive and contribute in other ways.

Mike - key match up with Parker tonight. Is going to need both ankles healthy so that is a concern. Defe nd pick and roll. Also I am kinda surprised about him missing freethrows latey. Hopefully it will not be an issue in the long run. Performance from the last game would not hurt at all.

Brad - no Rasho tonight might give Brad more operating space. Has not missed a shot in a while - too bad he does not shoot enough. Might have a big game tonight.

Mobley - does anyone know how Mobley generally does against the Spurs ? We will see how good his defense is tonight. He has a tendency of forcing shots in the first half. Little more patience would not hurt.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Bench is critical tonight.

Tag might not get to play if Pop goes small. I think he should get some minutes regardless especially if Spurs guards penetrate as much as expected.

Darius - needs to give us his usual. He plays well at home so I am not really worried.

Evans had a great game in the last meeting. We sure could use an other one.

Martin - In the garbage time of the last game was very passive. He seamedto be waiting for the game to come to him. While that approach is good when You play with starters - it is bad when You are in the garbage time. I am just saying this because I would hate to see that approach cost him some playing time which is hard to come lately anyways.

Rest of the bench - "Mateen society"
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

RA - I am afraid he will try to match up again. I would like to see Kings forcing the other team to match up for once. We play Spurs twice in 4 days so it will be interesting to see adjustments.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
If Horry plays - You all know what that means. Manu will not score 48 again tonight bu I would not be surprised if Rose or Massenburg give Spurs a nice contribution.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Go Nets!
Go Jazz!
Go Nuggets! (down 4 at the moment)

Well this is gonna be a great game for the best in the West , as for Mobley agiasnt the Spurs , the first one was Orlando at SA , the final score was 94-91 Spurs , Mobley had 21 points on 7 of 16 shooting (3 of 4 from 3 pointer range) , 2 Assists,7 rebounds, and pair of steals and turn overs.... Second game was SA at Orlando the Spurs , the Magic won the score was 93-87, Mobley had 11 points on 5 of 11 shooting (1 of 2 from 3 pointer range), 5 assists ,4 rebounds and 1 steal , 2 Turn overs.... i would say he had solid outtings but we arnt the Magic , where he was forced to be one of the main scorers... here with our starting 5 , he shouldnt feel any pressure ... i expect the Kings to take care of Spurs tonight... Webber will continue to play great...

All I know is that Bowen cannnot guard both Peja and Mobley, and Peja seemed to rid himself of the Bowen demons the last time we played. This will be a good game.

this is gonna be one hell of a ballgame...ill tell ya that much...im very interested in seeing how well the kings can play D in this game...if i remember correctly the last game i was VERY excited by the way they were playing D was against the Spurs at home...so we shall see...CWebb needs to lock down TD like last time out...and i agree with Piksi that TP is not going to MIA tonight....so Mike should have his hands full...no Rasho should equal more operating space for Brad like piksi said hopefully Brad can take advantage...but i have confidence in him that he can...and the Spurs last game against the Suns i thought it was very apparent how much the Spurs missed Horry...so we'll see whether or not they are gonna attempt to go without him again tonight...its a big game...but so was their last game and he was on the bench....hmm

pop will probably pplace duncan at center... but who do you think will start at the 4 malik or robert?
If Pop plays TD at center he will have to play Rose agianst Webb on the perminter... Webb was shredding Horry as a Laker, now even older and slower Horry has no chance against Webb.

From what was reported in today's Bee, Duncan will start at the 4 with Tony Massenburg at center.

Hopefully Tony won't play dirty and won't injure somebody. I might be a little overboard with this but Massnburg is a dirty, rough, and has bad attitude kind of player imho.

big game for the Kings tonight. As usual, Pedja's gonna be guarded by Bruise Bowen. Sure hope he can get off a strong game tonight. As for Mobley, he'll be guarded by Manu--scrappy,scrappy,scrappy!

Kings gotta focus & not get too much emotional as it's sure the refs will give the Spurs a couple of breaks here & there & it's a matter of responding well & wisely to it that will be key. Use the bench Rick! Let the Tag clog the middle! Surprise'em with a few streaks of zone D as they don't have excellent outside gunners. Challenge every shot!

Go KINGS!!!!

Ominous beginning with TMass getting the first bucket for the Spurs. Duncan with the next two baskets. TMass gets an early offensive rebound.
