Spurs? Bring it.

Prospect
In all likelihood L.A. will beat the Hornets and secure the 7th spot which will make it the Kings and Spurs. Think positive though, it's not as bad as the some media/fans are making it.

In the 2nd half of the season, the Kings had one of the better records in the league. They became a new team after Artest and play with more confidence. Haven't you guys ever played with someone that pushed you and made you better? It's not just coffee shop talk, it happens. Sure the Kings are underdogs but they are not pushovers. This will be a series, guranteed.

I usually like most of Steven A. Smith's stuff.. But tonight on shootaround after Artest spoke, he made one hell of an ignorant, one dimensonal take on the Kings and Artest going into the (likely) Spurs series. Basically saying no one on the team is going to follow or think similarily with how Artest is going into it. Legler and Anthony tended to agree, of course, but they did give Artest props for turning the Kings around.

I think we are gonna end up losing in 5-6 games but I'm not that worried. Next year will be the year the Kings get a defensive big who can rebound and block shots next to Brad Miller. Then we become true contenders and win the championship. :)

While I am going to HOPE that we win, I will not be overly dismayed if we do not. That being said - I think that Steven A. Smith was WAY OFF. What bothered me was that he said that NOBODY else, from the owners, to the GM, to the coaches and players, believed that they could win. He may be a lot of things, but a mind reader he is not.

Of course, I do not generally put too much stock in what the ESPN guys say, so I guess it really doesn't matter what he says!!

Do I believe?..........Hell yes!

Do I expect the Kings to win?........errr, no!

Will I cheer loud and long, anyway?......Of course!!

I am Kings fan. Hear me roar!!

I'M WITH YA ALL THE WAY!!!!! GO KINGS!

I highly doubt that we are going to win but I do know that we are going down fighting for every game.....

4-2?

Who cares if we dont win? hell they are #1 world champs and we got off to a horrible start. I say we should be happy we MADE the playoffs. Next year we will get a shotblocker and win it all!!!!!!!!!!!!

GO KINGS!!!!!!!!!

Seattle might've been our last win of the year.

I hate to be pessimistic but I hope you all realize what our team has gotten into.

Yeah, the playoffs.

I look forward to our team giving their very best and thats all I ask or expect. The winning/losing will take care of itself.

These are the same people who yak their heads off all year long and constantly change how they feel about a team unless that team is San Antonio or Detroit. Year after year they talk about the best two or three teams because they are SAFE to talk about. We are not safe to talk about which is why they didn't have much to say. And even when we were good, these guys still would hate on our team. So I take their word as a grain of salt... err more like an atom (which is mostly empty).

Just go out, play smart and hard. We will win or not. Either way, make sure the Spurs know it was basketball war!

GO KINGS!! GRAB SOME ROYAL VICTORY!!:D

kings played a great second half, going 26-14 since artest joined the team. the spurs were 31-9 in that same stretch. i think it will be a great series in terms of a lot of close games. how many? i think it would be spurs in six.
