SACRAMENTO, CA, July 8, 2010 -- Sports 1140 KHTK-AM will air two Kings Summer League games from Las Vegas.

The second broadcast will air live on Wednesday, July 14 from COX Pavilion where the Kings will take on the Minnesota Timberwolves at 7 p.m.
The Kings Summer League roster includes new rookies DeMarcus Cousins and Hassan Whiteside along with veterans Omri Casspi and Donté Greene. Broadcasts will feature interviews with Kings and NBA players and personnel.

I'm a little confused, maybe someone can clarify this for me. what do they mean by "air"? I thought 1140 was a radio station

It is radio, it just means to broadcast, because you know the signals go through the air. If they had said "show", now that would have been weird. ;)

I think four of the games are going to be on the NBA TV channel.

Edit: Yeah, the games on 7/12, 7/14, 7/16 & 7/18 will be on NBA TV. One of the radio games fills the gap on 7/13 vs. the Lakers. Unfortunately looks like neither for 7/17 vs. the Bulls, but maybe CruzDude and Bajaden will still be there to report.

Hopefully the rookies perform better in the Vegas summer league... so far they have been a no show in orlando outside Paul George and a few second rounders like Harongady and Stephenson.

Unless Cuz shows up weighing 300+, I think he's going to tear it up. Whiteside will may have trouble with the whistle happy summer league refs.

When he was examined before the signing yesterday, Cousins had shaved a couple points off his body fat. Not where he needs to be, but moving in the right direction.
