im loving earl watson right now....... him and chris wilcox are keeping the sonics in the game.... i hope they beat the lakers!
 
Interesting the total lack of respect the officials seem to be giving Kobe on his home court. I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like it before...

Not that I'm complaining, mind you... ;)

Sonics lead 54-49 with 3:20 left in the second.

this is actually a fun game to watch..... im loving swift, wilcox and watson.... luke is playing well also....

i hope that the sonics win this game.....

swift just blocked kobe... miki moore is playing well also....

I haven't been able to watch any of the games today on ABC because of a stupid tornado warning. So ABC is just doing weather reports all the time.:mad:
 
Okay, I have to revise my comments about the officials and Kobe. They're showing a LOT of patience with him. It seems he's chewing them out about something every chance he gets - and he's giving them that patented "Kobe stare"...

the sonics better not give up and lose..... hopefully allen and luke wont let that happen....
 
I don't see the Sonics giving up. Why would they? They're leading and they've pretty much shut down the great one...

92-87 Sonics with 10:20 left in the game.

And Marv says Jackson has benched Kobe for a little while to get him calmed down...
 
Kobe back in, looking like he's walking into the dentist's office. And he starts to yap at the officials immediately...even Walton points it out. I think good ol' Bill is more than a little fed-up with the prima dona attitude Kobe exhibits at times.
 
Of course they're fighting back. It's the Lakers...in Staples. What do you expect?

I'm really impressed with what the Sonics are putting out. Looks like getting rid of a couple of bad apples might just have done the trick.

And you have to give props to Bill Walton. You know he's very proud of Luke, as well he should be, but he's not saying anything. He's letting Marv and Snapper make any comments.

I'm liking this game a lot.

I HATE to see any player collapse to the floor in obvious pain. I may hate the Lakers but I hope Chris Mihm is okay...
 
not only was he injured, but that was a poster shot right there.... wilcox threw it down hard.....
 
Kobe kicks the ball and almost hits 2 Sonics and the ball goes into the crowd, but no technical called... :confused:

no it was purely the dunk. walton said that that offensive stint by the sonics was the most important and it was with a dunk at the end! im shouting for the sonics to win...

No, they didn't call a technical. He's Kobe, it says in his contract that refs aren't allowed to give him technicals.
 
Okay, so was it a technical or not?

If not, I hope someone sends the tape to Stu Jackson. That's pathetic.
