I heard it also.

Hey Brad....Maybe if you stop Kamen, Pryzbilla, Foyal and Kandi Man from looking like Wilt Chamberlin maybe they wouldn't boooo.

Kaman/Pryzbilla play well in general... Foyle/Kandi though, yes, I agree.

i just saw the newscast on the kings and all they showed brad saying is that he was sure that the media and the fans have been cussing them out and giving out sh**

Exactly, Warhawk!

As I sat up in the rafters last night and heard a well timed boo - fans were intentional and purposeful in waiting until a time out when traditionally they would applaud the EFFORT put forth by their team....I was stunned at how deliberate it was.....

While I am not and couldnt fathom booing (its like booing your kids little league game) I think those that did so were frustrated and did so to make a statement about effort - or lack thereof.... I dont think it is fair weather to express frustration ....leaving in the middle of the fourth is more fair weather to me - and not even caring enough to stick around - down or up 20....they are our team...

Its a different philisophy - for me I applaud effort.... I will clap at the luck of the other teams easy layup rimming out and clap for just making past the half court line without a violation...... everyone in my section thinks something is wrong if I am not cheering regardless of who is in by name player by player.... I am easy amused - give me any effort - anything....others are still fans if they care enough to feel that frustration.....enough to take the time to post here daily about a team none of us is paid to care about (like our players are....)

For Adelman last night his frustration was so high he BOOED his Starters right on to the bench... and called time out after time out showing he could have returned them to the line up but didnt think they deserved it....

If you were a starter, and embarassed at being benched, and frustrated.... you also might try and justify the actions around you...

Seems to me its easier for Brad to say oh its fair weather fans than to take it to heart that maybe the fans were trying to send him a message...similar to the one the coach seems to have sent....

I think Brad (and our other players) care what the fans think... I think they care or they wouldnt respond when we cheer - or boo....Give him a mulligan and lets get on to cheering on the victory we need tomorrow...

Wow the way a couple people are reacting to this you would almost think Miller called their mom a whore. Well he's obviously frustrated and angry, at least this shows he gives a damn about what's happening. I'm glad he's pissed, it's better than him acting like nothing is wrong.

Well, I don't know what exactly was said, but judging just by comments here Miller called out fans who were booing. Hey, if you're going to boo your team the least that you should be able to take in return is to be called a fairweather fan. If you weren't booing, then Miller's comment does not apply to you.

It seems that the kings think that we should support them unconditionally. That is crap.

Good GOD! Whatever would make them think that???????? Perhaps the fact that we are supposed to be the best fans in the NBA, that we supported teams through much WORSE crap than this, without booing, I might add. I'm in ARCO for games, I will tell you that the "best Fans' moniker is out-dated and we certainly haven't legitimately earned that title for a couple years now.
I DO support them unconditionally. Now matter how bad they are, they are still my team. No matter how bad they play, they are still my team. It used to be, when the team was dragging, or not playing with fire, we would (gasp) cheer and get rowdy, trying to pump them up. Now it's like freaking New York....and the team plays a lot like the knicks....I wonder if there is any correlation?
It cracks me up that some of you are actually offended on being called on it. "Years ago, we were the BEST fans in the NBA, how DARE someone say we aren't now" Oh, the inhumanity of it all.

Word- That pretty much sums it up for me.

You guys who think its no big deal are just a bunch of bandwaggoners. Just what ive seen during my short time at this board.

Danny Ocean - I knew you'd give yourself away ... again.

Wave goodbye to the nice folks. Third time a charm ... and all that.

It was a ignorant blanket statement and I don't agree with his opinion. But if he was really banned for that post I think that is completely harsh, especially in such a public way. I think it is a little quick and extreme to call that trolling. Was he really banned for that?

to bad we can not just ban Miller like we can the fools around here!!!!

Right when I walk throught the turnstiles of the game I have already spent $104. By the time I get to my seat I have spent an additional $15, by half time an additional $10, and in the 3rd quarter another $10. So, by the end of the game I have spent around $140 and If I see a total lack of effort on the court I will let them know it.....I'm not going to cheer them on for playing like dog****.

There is a different feel in the arena and it really is alot more tense this year and I think alot of people feel the same way I do. The Maloofs have pretty much squeezed the most amount of money they can out of us and if the people aren't seeing the product on the court they get upset.

I also know that if this team played hard EVERY NIGHT their record would be a hell of alot better than it is.

You heard a portion of a clip, which is what we've been trying to point out. Do you know what led up to it? No... YOu're jumping to a pretty strong conclusion about someone who has NEVER said anything negative about any fans before. You need to take a deep breath and realize you might not know all the details.

Face it. These guys may be paid millions but they're human, too. It's pretty hypocritical of people who frequently call THEM all kinds of names in anger to get on their high horses because a player just might, after a particularly heated practice, say something he would not have said otherwise.

Kings players are human. They should be allowed to vent, just like anyone else. I am truly more puzzled by the need of Lamb/Grant to use this AGAINST the team than anything else. But it shouldn't surprise me. They've taken major swipes against the Kings before, always hiding behind the "the fans need to know" excuse when bottom line it's usually just about ratings.

Wow, I don't remember you asking for so much proof a little while ago when someone said Peja asked to traded again ;) You were all over him but yet you don't believe something coming straight out of Brad's mouth. Wow.

Right on KingHall, Ryle.

I'm not the booing type either, but the Kings with their four all-star caliber starters (and Bonzi who is apparently better than all of them), do not have the same excuses that the moribound Kings teams of the early 90's had.

I'd bet they wouldn't hear the boos if they were playing their butts off every night and losing.

That said, I'll give Brad a break. He's obviously an emotional type of guy and is venting his frustration. Instead of taking it out on the fans though, how about channeling some of that pent up energy into chasing down rebounds and playing some defense?

Everyone is ticked off right now. The fans want to see wins, but more importantly they want to see the characteristics that made this team worth cheering for in the past: heart. The Kings haven't showed any at all this year.

i've read every post on this thread and still no QUOTE!

can anyone just type what they've heard? i'm assuming it was a small clip and some of you probably heard it atleast twice already so someone has to know what brad said on the clip. i checked the sacbee if they have it but they don't. can someone please just type what they heard?

i'm getting confused if brad said fans who boo are fairweather, fans (all of them) are fairweather, or whatever. no one can even provide the context of the quote.

if no one can provide a quote and the media isn't saying in what context the quote was said, then it's just leading me to believe that:

1) the media played the part of the quote that sounded worst and it was probably taken out of context, and
2) the media (and some fans) are blowing this thing WAY out of proportion.

i watched the news casts last night channel 40, 13,10,3 and NOWHERE did brad say that, he said that he was sure that the fans and the media have been booing, but they didnt show that he said that, and i would think that the news would be all over that....but i dont know i just think its strange...and that this may have been overblown:rolleyes:
