It's his option. So the question is moot to a certain extent. If he exercises his option the Kings can trade him or do a sign and trade.

It's up to Mobley to take the first step and opt in or out.
 
One of the most talented guys on the team and can hit cold-blooded shots. Absolutely no basketball IQ and poison for a team that is supposed to have a passing offense. Could be a very good or great player on a crappy team, so let's trade him.

That will be the trait I will miss if he goes. Its just really too bad it doesn't come attached to a more attractive overall package.
 
sign and trade, Mobley doesnt fit in our system but hes a great player!

Unfortunately, I think the mindset that allows him to make those shots is the same mindset that allows him to take the ill-advised shots outside the offense. At least for him it would be difficult to have one without the other.
