I heard on That Shaq may not play Sunday Game against The Pistons.
Why risk your most important player aginst those thugs in a meaningless game? I would not want Shaq in the state of Michigan givne what some of the fans are capible of.

sad how one crazy night which was due to ONE FAN has suddenly got detroit labelled as "thugs" and somehow Michigan is considered some kind of bad place.

truely sad how people's minds work and for the record this game is in Miami

95% of Detroit fans are no different to Kings and many other team fans around the league. They come out and support their team everynight and just because a few fans act the wrong way, the great fans get added in the mix of the word thugs.

I think the city of Detroit had a big headstart on the 'thugery reputation" long before the infamous "Little Fallujah Incident". I still remember when Leon Spinks, the World Heavyweight Champion at the time, got mugged in Detroit. Some guy, who was apparently tougher than the World's Champ, took his money, fur coat, and gold teeth.

No, the reputation of Detroit was established many years ago. It was not altered much by local basketball fans, Ron Artest, and the cluster of b-ball thugs.

Just noticed he wasn't in the lineup AGAIN. Dude is on my fantasy team here and he's killing me.

Am I the only one who, for a second, read this and thought, "Wow, Lakers might be without Shaq today"?

Well, they are going to be without Shaq today, just like they were without Shaq yesterday, and the day before, and so on. In fact they'll be without Shaq forever thanks to Jerry Buss and de-facto GM Kobe Bryant.
