Right. We should be wary of taking an aggregator’s summary at face value and running with it. The NBA central summary yesterday was that Shams “hinted” that the Warriors could be interested in DDR. These could be two different readings of the same TV appearance. I haven’t seen anything show up in print.Where did Shams say this?
A few options that work on Spotrac. Note that DeMar for Kuminga straight up doesn't work :
1) Kuminga/Moody for DeMar and a small contract. So DeMar/Keon OR Demar/Precious OR DeMar/Saric OR DeMar/Doug OR DeMar/Eubanks OR DeMar/Russ or DeMar/Saric
2) Kuminga/Podz for DeMar. Warriors are so close to the hard cap that they could not take on a second salary in this deal.
3) Kuminga/Melton for DeMar. Same as #2
4) Kuminga/Buddy for DeMar and small contract. All of the options in the Moody trade (#1) are still available.
#1 would be interesting because you get back Moody, but it probably costs you Keon as the second player. But maybe worth it if you don't think Keon is resigning. Moody would be an interesting option
#2 allows you to keep Keon for a different deal, and Podz makes less money. If you are Perry, the question is whether you prioritize Moody, or you prioritize getting Podz and whatever capital you get moving Keon.
#3 seems unlikely. If the Warriors want to win now they want Melton. And not sure Melton makes sense here.
# 4 is probably the Warriors preference. Unload Buddy's long term money. If it is #4 I would hope our throw in contract is Saric or Eubanks or Doug and that we are getting some draft compensation to take on Buddy.
I just don’t see Lacob moving off Kuminga after last night. Not because Kuminga got better overnight, but because Lacob will overvalue him after 1 game. I may get killed but I might do jk+butler for Sabonis+Derozan just to get off the contract.
Having been blocked by Matt George for sarcastically telling him one of his brain dead ideas "cracked the code that will fix the Kings" (or maybe it was the NBA, either way it was a pretty minor offense), I can say with some authority that Matt George wouldn't last 10 minutes here.We found the Matt George Kf.com burner.

Did you see Lacob jumping out of his seat for Kuminga? Lacob is a known Kuminga fan. Ask any warriors fan. But hey Matt George is getting paid for his opinions and you aren’t. So thanks for the compliment. We found the Matt George Kf.com burner.
Maybe.. But we've seen this story a few times. Last year when Curry went out in the playoffs, Kuminga proceeded to go 18, 30, 23, 26. Then we saw them go through a contract battle all summer, and ultimately he played 3 weeks before the DNP's started coming.I just don’t see Lacob moving off Kuminga after last night. Money no make sense. To get both Claxton and DDR, W's would have to send out Butler. Neither team can absorb him easily. Maybe he goes to the Nets with some more pieces involved.

The Warriors would have to add something nice but cap space is the new frontier. Look at the Nets. They've been able to swap players out, upgrade at the same time, and pick up major draft capital while doing it. If the Warriors were willing to forfeit some of their 2027 cap gold mine then that could be a 4D chess type of move.
It’s ironic for the channel that called themselves NBA Trade Report to post a claim about a team’s trade intentions with zero citation, and a deal that wouldn’t even work financially.Money no make sense. Now, something like a moving chairs deal sending Kuminga to us, DDR to BKN, and Claxton to GS could be worked out, but they don't get both. And we'd be sending DDR to purgatory, which would be sad-face.
That "nice" better be nice. Im not trading Domas for essentially 1 year off his contract. Thats stupid. I'll happily charity bet anyone thay if Domas gets traded, it'll be a better offer than Jimmy Butler
Nah because Sabonis gets attacked constantly on defense. He is talented on offsense but hod awful on defense.LOL
Im not denying Lacobs love for Kuminga. Why aren't you defending his absolutely god awful trade idea? Thats what I'm "clowning" you and Matt George for
He is a much smarter, more consistent, more efficient scorer, passer and playmakerDeebo has historically been a very divisive player. Puts up numbers but all the way back to when he was traded to the Spurs, many of the ‘smart’ franchises wanted nothing to do with his style of play. The perception has changed a bit over the years, but I believe there are certain clubs that never wanted a player like him and probably still wouldn’t. Other than being a grizzled vet, I’m not totally sure why Kerr would have much of a different opinion of Deebo than he does Kuminga. Butler is kind of a similar player style but at least he’s a known defender. Maybe they are just desperate to salvage the season, but I’m not sure I can totally envision Deebo on the warriors.
They're not going to tank the rest of the season, so might as well take a long shot with a proven scorer on a short contractDeebo has historically been a very divisive player. I’m not suggesting what I would do if I were the warriors, I’m just saying…even though he puts up numbers and presumably is a good guy, there are many teams that want nothing to do with his play style. Why do you think he ended up on the Kings to begin with? They're not going to tank the rest of the season, so might as well take a long shot with a proven scorer on a short contract
