Shams: Lakers discuss Kuzma for Buddy deal

Yeah, cuz Schroeder will help the logjam the kings have at guard, by you know be willing to go back to being a backup which he hated being in the first place. Now a three way deal involving another team where kings get a wing or post near all star level player and some 1st rounders, then we can talk, but lakers fans seem to have their heads up theor asses.

So Ordinary That It's Truly Quite Extraordinary

I wasn't down on this deal partially because it got rid of Buddy while keeping some of our movable assets. But I do think Buddy is also key to us getting best value on Bagley or if we ship Barnes, so I hope we are talking to GS and Philly. It's a shame Portland has nothing to really offer us.

Schroder will be competing with several other free agents at the same position, including Kyle Lowry, Lonzo Ball, Mike Conley, Spencer Dinwiddie and Paul (if he opts out of his final year).

"He may get squeezed," a Western Conference executive told Bleacher Report.

If he does, Schroder may need the Lakers' help to get a suitable payday via sign-and-trade. But the other side of the coin is Sacramento. If they're not getting Kuzma and Harrell, are they interested in sending Hield to the Lakers?

The Kings already have De'Aaron Fox and Tyrese Haliburton. They don't need Schroder, but maybe he's a piece the Wizards consider (or the trade grows to a fourth team).

According to a former Western Conference executive, the Wizards highly value Caldwell-Pope but may be open to either Kuzma, Harrell or both rerouted to another team. Would that team be Sacramento?

Noooooooooooooo!!!
Back to kuzma and Harrell (no 22 pick since was traded to Pacers) for Buddy
If Schroeder agrees to sign and trade to washington

Kings, Wizards not interested in a Dennis Schroeder sign-and-trade

There is some beautiful-mind framework in which the Lakers might still sign-and-trade Schroder and acquire Hield. It’s just hard to find it. The Wizards and Kings don’t want Schroder, sources said. The Lakers would need a fourth team that does, with assets the Kings want. (The Lakers do avoid the hard cap here by not acquiring a player in a sign-and-trade — one reason DeMar DeRozan and Kyle Lowry were likely off the board.) – via Zach Lowe @ ESPN
