Has anyone here been to the Seat Relocation Event yet? It is going on today through Saturday. I'm curious if anyone can report on how it flows.

My "appointment" is tomorrow at 4:30 and I'm not able to make it so my ticket rep is supposed to call me. Should be interesting.

Its going to be interesting on how they organize this event. It sounds like with every appointment, there's like 30-50 peoples joining you.. I'm looking forward to going in person to see how they handle this.

We are too! We don't go until Saturday at 10:00 a.m., so I hope someone who goes earlier can give us some idea of how it went. Annie.

We are Sat at 10:00 as well, but are going to do a phone call since our son has a baseball game at 9:00. I am interested in hearing how it all works when you go in person, so let us know.

A word to the wise: It pays to be on time, prepared, and decisive. The race goes to the swift to a degree... if you hem and haw too much, somebody may pull your tag.

It is not done PURELY by seniority. Calling in is a far inferior substitute to being there - trust me on this. If you can go, then go - and know what you want to get, and go get it swiftly (without knocking over any old ladies or anything).

A very well run event in my opinion - my hat is off to MSE for how they did this drill!

I thought you didn't renew your seats???

Anyway, I would like to move but I am very particular and if I can't get what I want I'm happy to stay with my current seats.

I thought you didn't renew your seats???

Yeah well I'm a big fat liar ;)

Actually, I did not renew by the deadline - decided to get out. But they gave me a chance to renew after the deadline. So I ran it by the boss. It was hard to give up 9 years of season ticket holder seniority - we want to have a chance to get a good spot in line for a new arena one day. So we decided to renew and move it back upstairs where we could really AFFORD to be. $230/game plus parking was too much...

I had a lucky angel this morning because I got the seats I've always wanted since 1999... 214 row C (second row). Still can't wipe the grin off my face. My wife is 5'1" and these are better than lower level for her.

Now it will be $137/game plus parking. I'm really excited about my new seats and saving $93/game.

Now about that front court overhaul.... lets get on that Geoff!

Glad you got good seats. When did you go? And it has been said both ways here: Can you retain your last season's seats if you don't find what you want??? Thanks! Annie.

Absolutely you can retain your seats if you don't find what you want. I just got back from Arco. I wanted aisle seats and got them, and its only one row higher than my original row. I also have a different section. I got to admit, I didn't like the section I was in last year.

The event was handled very well. There is a season ticket rep for everyone in your group. The guy I had was really nice. I knew what I wanted and he took me to the section that had what I was looking for and I was done within 5 minutes. :D

The only bad thing: I faxed my season ticket rep for her to call me during my appointment time, but I got no phone call. Good thing I went in person, otherwise, I would have been very upset.

Like one member stated - if you can go in person, then go.

Hey Annie: Your current seats aren't given up until you give them up. If you completely flake on the event and don't show up, you will still have your current seats.

They only post your old seats after you have switched to new ones.

Also, you can keep your old seats and buy more if you want. Have fun and report back how it goes ok?

I went at 9:00AM today.

I think they are making calls toward the end of the half hour slot. I was still milling about for a while toward the end of my half hour slot (even though I had my new seats at the 6th minute), checking out different seats... and I saw a staff member on a cell phone walking up to take some tickets off the seats.

Glad it worked out for you that you could show up and had a good outcome!

Only bad thing is - now I am completely re-psyched for the season and there is so long to wait...

Thanks to all who answered! We will go prepared and hopefully will be as satisfied as you have been. We have excellent seats now, but have 3 and want to go back to 2 and last year they would not break them up. Will check about that too. Thanks again--Annie.

I went at 2:30 today. My current seats were in 101 row J, but did not want to pay the $280/game anymore. I knew that I wanted somethign in the first 3-4 rows of the 2nd deck, and close to mid court. As they walked us out on the court, I looked up and saw a pair in section 202 and close to mid court. I took off running and got the seats that I wanted. 202, row D which is the 3rd row. Instead of $280/game I now pay $137. Plus these seats are elevated pretty nicely above the row in front of us so there are no obstructions.

I'm a little peeved with MSE right now. I was "granted" my time slot of 4:30 yesterday afternoon and since I do work and I also coach my son's baseball team and we had a game at 5:00 on Friday I assumed it would be no big deal to make contact with someone. I had a meeting that ran late and when my ticket person called me at about 4:40 I wasn't able to answer my cell phone.....I assumed they would leave me back a call number or someone would continue to try and contact me.

The message was pretty much I'm calling and you aren't there and there's no way for you to contact me so I will try later......that was the only call I received.

Since I had my phone with me the whole time I e-mailed my ticket rep at about 7:45 last night and she responded back that I was supposed to be contacted multiple times.....what a crock of ****.

Anyway, I have contacted everyone and their mother at MSE about this and more than likely nothing will get done.

I get another call today(after I informed them that I would be at my sons first communion and would not have my cell phone) telling me the same crap I got last night.

You know I would think at the very least they would have a "make-up session" late Saturday after all the turns had been taken. It would serve their interests and yours to do something like that.

On Friday morning I though they said you could come to any subsequent appointment if you did not find seats you wanted.... but maybe I misheard that - I wasn't paying that close attention to that point.

I hope it works out for you.

Well, we went to our 10:00 a.m. appointment. It was a very good experience from the beginning to the end. We will be sitting right behind you Cal Bears. It is interesting because the people who were giving up seats put those on the market--you could go the last day and get excellent seats and that is what happened to us. Came down two rows and are right in the center in 202 E, two in from the isle. Perfect. Anyway, they said several times today that once you had honored your time slot, you could come back until the end of the day's time slots and look more if you weren't satisfied. I didn't hear one person that wasn't pleased, in fact, lots of talk about how happy they were with their new location.

The people there were super and we have had nothing but very good response with questions, etc. Sorry it didn't work out for someone--I can't imagine that MSE would be pleased about that. The last session today was 1:30 or 2:00.

My whole problem is this is a horrible weekend for me(Kids baseball on Friday night and Saturday Morning and first Communion today) so they could have at least tried to call me more than once last night!!!

It's an hour and a half round trip for me to ARCO which makes the timing virtually impossible.

I agree with you that they should have called "multiple" times. Eventhough I went in person to my appointment, I still never received a call...not one. Its a good thing I went there, otherwise, I would be joining you being peeved. If I couldn't have made it and never received a phone call, the calls to my rep would not have been very nice. I would have emailed not only my rep, but the man that was in charge Phil and the Maloof brothers. I'm glad mine turned out ok. Sorry to hear your misfortune Ryle.

If I had time today, I was going to go again just to see what seats were available, but I guess the last session ended at 2:00p.m. Oh well.

Oh yea, my new section is 218.

What this inquiring mind wants to know is, what was your OLD section?

One thing I cannot stand is being blatantly lied to. The ticket person I was working with finally called me at about 3:00 on Saturday. She said she had been trying to get a hold of me since Friday night....I have a company phone that I am required to have with me all the time and that is the number she was given so I know she was pretty much trying to cover her arse and say that.

Anyway, to make a long story short pretty much every seat that I wanted was already taken and the event had just ended. She did have some "great seats" to offer me for an additional $2,400 a year but I had to pass. I did move down 3 rows, went over a section and got seats 2 in from the aisle. Technically better than what I had but nothing to be excited about.

Where are you now?
What were the pricey ones you took a pass on?

I went from 216 row M to 215 row K but I might switch back. I thought everyone in my row was moving but apparantely most are staying and it's a pretty good group.

The ones I was looking at were 213 row c 2 in from the aisle. One of the seats has no one in front of it.
