In a redraft you take Sengun but we don't have that luxury. A lot of busts between them. My issue is more about how he was managed once we made the pick - and we ultimately paid Toronto to take him and Sasha with 2nd round picks. But he winds up re-signing with Miami. Clearly we could have better managed and got return on that investment.
I worry about this now with a lot of our young guys - Carter, Keon, Nique - as we talk about signing a vet PG and also "how hard it is going to be to move" Monk, DDR, Zach etc. If we bring in a vet PG we have to get rid of Monk or those guys will never see the floor. And Deebo is also eating up space.
I just don't see the point of putting a bunch of stopgaps in between developing guys you draft. If you won't play your picks trade them. Not that I agree with that approach but what are we doing here?
