Phil Frank, the San Francisco Chronicle cartoonist best known for his daily comic strip, "Travels With Farley" (which was later shortened to "Farley"), has passed away just a few days after he retired ths strip. He was 64 and had a brain tumor.
This is a bittersweet post from me, because when I lived in the S.F. Bay Area (1970's through 1993), I greatly enjoyed his comic strip.
Rest in peace, Phil!
