Will us not landing the 1st or 2nd pick equal absolute doom for this franchise?
Theres alot riding on this draft..... yes I know that Griffen and Rubio dont equal contenders. But after a waste of a year minus Hawes and JT. What if we walk away with nothing to show for it?
This draft is seriously the weakest I can remember. All kinds of players are coming out that shouldn't just because there is no competition for the first round.
We picked the wrong year to hit rock bottom. WE ARE A FRANCHISE THAT NEEDS HELP.... RIGHT NOW!!! and without the normal top 5 picks that are almost no fail and can help a franchise... things are not looking good.
With no set arena deal. Not one single super star or even all-star (kevin is not and will never be a super star, maybe bench all-star). More Laker fans than Kings fans at home games. I'd say if things don't start looking up soon, this franchise is doomed.
This team is a product and the NBA is a business, and right now all the Kings are selling is hope. There is no real tangible product, just hope that one day there will be. I dont live in sacramento but I keep hearing over and over about the best fans in the NBA. Well its more like THE FEWEST FANS IN THE NBA!!!!
I KNOW EVERYONE ON THIS BOARD IS a die hard. But it really seems to me like alot of the fans were just around for the good times. Im from LA and can tell you about real fans like the Clipper fans. They never had any glory days (not even close) and yet they have more reg. fans than sacramento. I dont wanna hear about the markets. The fact that Sacramento is small should mean more "home town" support, at least more than the clippers! come on now.
I just think that things are coming to a boiling point with this team and if it is going to stay in Sacramento it better be able to attract some serious "hope or promise" very soon, and without Rubio or Griffen I dont see it happening this offseason, and that brings this full circle. How many more years do the Maloofs sit and wait for something to happen? Without Griffen or Rubio I predict that by this time next year the Maloofs will be filing to exit or at least be eligible to exit sactown. Not because they want to but because there are other citys willing to pay $$$ to bring in the Kings and with one more season with attendance like it was this year that would be the last straw.

I just wanna say also that I'd be crushed if sacramento moved and that i do believe that the Maloofs are trying their hardest to stay. But with so few fans going to games its a serious blow to the odds of a new arena being built.
