There is no cheat sheet for this. Coaches can teach players how to score in the low post and shut down the baseline. Team publicists can tell players when to talk, and sometimes, what to say. League officials can establish policy – on something as rudimentary as a dress code – and issue fines and suspensions for assorted forms of misbehavior.

I liked this article as Voisin has helped put more of a human face on the enigma that is Ron Artest. I especially liked the last part:

"He's just an amazing basketball player," said coach Reggie Theus. "Apart from what people think, Ron is pretty focused on what he has to do as a basketball player for the most part. His makeup is such that he can multi-task."

That's the fascination – and the frustration – of Ron Artest. But lest anyone forget, he is also Artest, the father.

And it's to Ron Artest, the father, that I again offer my hopes and prayers for a speedy and total recovery for his daughter.
