League officials can establish policy – on something as rudimentary as a dress code – and issue fines and suspensions for assorted forms of misbehavior.

I liked this article as Voisin has helped put more of a human face on the enigma that is Ron Artest. I especially liked the last part:

"He's just an amazing basketball player," said coach Reggie Theus. "Apart from what people think, Ron is pretty focused on what he has to do as a basketball player for the most part. His makeup is such that he can multi-task."

That's the fascination – and the frustration – of Ron Artest. But lest anyone forget, he is also Artest, the father.

And it's to Ron Artest, the father, that I again offer my hopes and prayers for a speedy and total recovery for his daughter.
