Sac / New Jersey

Entity

Hall of Famer
Brad Miller
Spencer Hawes
John Salmons

for

Bobby Simmons
Stromile Swift
Brook Lopez
1st round draft pick

Why for us. Well we get a true strong reboundiung shot blocking Center that can control the paint.

Why for them. They get another scorer with Salmons and get a future Center with Hawes and a Center for the here and now. They also rid themselves of Simmons and will still have the cap space for the 2010 offseason.

There is no way NJ would do this, Lopez is tearing up the league right now and they already have a selfish scorer in vince carter. I would do it in a heartbeat from kings standpoint.

I would do it in a heartbeat. I believe that Lopez is going to be WAY better player than Spencer Hawes. Also JT-Lopez front court looks much better than JT-Hawes.
But I don't see New Jersey trading Lopez And first round pick.
If GP can pull this one off, I will be thrilled.:)

I am surprised lopez is doing better than beasley, I guess its true you cant teach size. Also I saw lopez put up some tough battles in the NCAA tournament and that showed how tough he really is, i bet few teams are feeling dumb for letting him pass.

I'm not going to buy into this Lopez hype just yet. I know he's good and he's gonna get better, but a 2 ppg 1.5 rpg and .5 bpg average with a few more minutes a game isn't enough to convince me he is gonna be overwhelming better than Hawes. Plus i think Hawes can develop a more diverse game with his outside shooting and passing skills. I think Lopez will develop into a consistent 15 and 10 guy or maby better, but Hawes i think has more potential. He may not be as skilled now but in a few years time we'll see.

You might be right, I might be wrong. But to me Hawes doesn't have strength and toughness to protect the basket and post up. What I don't like about Hawes' game is that he shoots too much outside shots instead of posting up inside. Yes, he has potential to be a great player, but not as a post up player IMO. In the other hand, Lopez has strength, toughness and physical tools to post up well against centers in NBA. And when I look at it, JT-Lopez front line is more organized(?) than JT- Hawes.

Tis true that Hawes lacks some much needed physicalness. I think he can learn to deal with it in the post thoe. Maby hawes can end up like Andris Biedrins with a 3 point shot....

Hawes doesn't have physical tools to be biedrins, I see hawes as brad miller with more post up moves. But brad miller back in the day used to be bad *** so i am not sure if that even right.
