Sac-LA-GS / Milwaukee to get Yi.

If you were Milwaukee which deal would you take if you have Yi threatening to sit out if not dealt? Milwaukee can absorb a players salary, but I am sure they would want SOMETHING, and the ability to dump a salary.

Sacramento trades;
Ron Artest
2008 1st round pick (top 3 protected)

Milwaukee trades;
Yi Jianlian
Dan Gadzuric

---------------------------------------------

Los Angeles trades;
Lamar Odom (Or Andrew Bynum)
2008 1st round pick (not protected)

Milwaukee trades;
Yi Jianlian
Dan Gadzuric

---------------------------------------------

Golden State trades;
Brandan Wright
Monta Ellis
2008 1st round pick (not protected)

Milwaukee trades;
Yi Jianlian
Dan Gadzuric

----------------------------------------------

Of those three deals which would you take? It's either got to be between Sacramento, and Golden State unless LA throws in Bynum instead of Odom?

But from what I have read Yi's agent is looking at getting Yi moved to the west coast for a team that had worked him out i.e Sac/La/GS...

Yi agent seeks trade but NBA Bucks want Chinese star

MILWAUKEE, United States

(AFP) - Yi Jianlian's agent is trying to pull together trade offers in hopes the Milwaukee Bucks will deal away the Chinese star they selected sixth in the National Basketball Association Draft.
But the Bucks vow they did not pick Yi on Thursday just to make a trade deal even as a standoff appears set with Yi's representatives.
"Our agent team had meetings to study this case immediately after the draft. We feel that the Bucks are not the best fit for Yi Jianlian," Yi's agent Zhao Gang said.......... (click link below for the rest of article)

Ok if he doesnt want to play in a small market in Milwaukee why would he want to play in a small market in Sacramento? They want him to go to a big market like Chicago,New York,Golden State,etc..

Supposedly he wants to play in CA. GS isn't what would be considered a "large market".. But all three CA teams were there when he worked out, so supposedly all three are in the market if he indeed comes to CA.

So far though I would have GS in the lead, but Sac can offer the 2008 pick, and we all know we are going to be lottery next year so we would have to top 3 protect of course.

if the Chinese population is a big deal, Sac would be a good place.

besides... anyone else think Oakland might be a bit of a culture shock for Yi?

My impression is that the Sacramento offer above would be the least palatable of the three, regardless of whether the Laker offer included Odom or Bynum. Between Artest being so volatile and the top-three protection invoked for Sacramento's pick (but not L.A.'s or G.S.'s), you don't even have to look at the caliber of the players involved. Bynum and Brandan Wright plus Ellis are probably better offers than Artest even without his off-court issues, and Odom is at least a better offer when you take Artest's behavior into account.

On the other hand, the Sacramento offer might be the fastest one onto the table. It's tough to send off Bynum for an unproven prospect, and Wright and Ellis together might be too much. Wright by himself...might work. Golden State may have been after Yi harder than Wright, and Milwaukee saves a lot of face (and even a little scratch) if they do a straight-up swap.
