Hey, it could be. He seemed to have a good workout with us, sounded like he had good size, was mobile, and was a good shooter, so why not? The #33 could be a really difficult pick for us because there still might be so many guys on the board: Richards, Varnado, Hobson (who might be an interesting look at the 2), Dominique Jones, Crawford, White, not to mention guys like Parakhouski, Jordan, Raduljica, Shved...the list goes on.

I mean, with Wall and Turner 100% off the board, there are plausibly, what, four guys that we could take at #5, and two of them will definitely be gone, right? Favors, Cousins, Johnson, Monroe. That's the list, and only two of them will be there. The list at #33 is a mile long.

I'm good with this. I'm not sure where a 2nd rounder fits in so may as well take a flyer on this guy, he has the body just don't know how he fits in against this level of competition. As far as I'm concerned that's marginally better than taking a guy that we know doesn't quite measure up.

You know, I'm actually really hoping we get him now. Good frame, good athleticism. Seems to have flown underneath the radar through no fault of his own. Mostly because he's from England which doesn't have any basketball program to speak of.

I try to picture what a guy might have done in college. He's younger than John Wall and Demarcus Cousin. He's a solid looking 6'11 230 who shoots well and is really athletic. Good frame. There's no way to really know but stick this guy on UConn andits not too hard to imagine18 and 10 and he'd be a lotto pick.

I think he's pretty adamant about coming stateside be it in the NBDL or NBA. Which works too. Have him play in the NBDL a couple years and learn American basketball. Really basketball isn't that hard if you're tall, fairly strong and athletic, play hard and can already shoot. Doesn't mean he's the next Chris Bosh, but at that size and profile if he can defend at all he can contribute before too long. He's not a Euro who needs to put on 20 lbs of muscle.

Only know what I read about him. Seems like too much of an unknown quantity to take that high in the 2nd round. There are 1st round talents that fall into the 2nd round every year, I'd like for us to get one this year.

This is good. Let us continue our fascination with outside shooting BIGs. Let us get Monroe at #5 and this guy at #33. Then hope we can also get Frye from the Phoenix Suns to complete a frontline of BIGs who can shoot outside.

Then let us get backcourt players in the mold of Tyreke Evans who can defend and rebound the ball to complement these BIGs. Reverse mismatch. I think it might work for the Kings.

While I think we could use some more depth at SG, who we pick at 33 is going to depend a lot on what the other teams do and who falls. I don't really know anything about this guy either, but that highlight video is pretty eye-popping. Smooth outside jumper, taking guys off the dribble, wrap-around passes in the paint, dunking with authority. I've seen lotto picks with less impressive highlight reels than that. A lot of them. He looks like a more athletic Dirk Nowitzki in that video. But that's no reason to assume he'll be a stud. He's got some potential for sure. We'll just have to wait and see.

Oh and if anything in that video is true, you can bet that Portland or San Antonio will nab him long before #33. They always get the under-the-radar studs. It makes me sick.

The sucking has to stop at some point. With Tyreke and possibly Cousins, I don't think we'd suck for much longer

Yeah why would we want a basketball player who can shoot the ball?

Skilled big men are good. Provided they can also defend and rebound. Bynum's size is a pey piece, but the Lakers primary frontcourt duo that has dominated the playoffs three years in a row has been Lamar Odom and Pau Gasol. Pau has averaged about 42 mpg, and Odom about 32, and no one can handle them.
