I think from the kings perspective this is basically a salary dump.

wow @ how underrated Perkins is. The guy is a big pshyical guy who rebounds, block shots, defends, and always plays hard.

Sure he's not a dominant scoring C, but hes a really really really good role player.

I actually think Perkins is overrated. He was average to below average until Boston went and got Garnett. It is amazing how all his stats have improved the last 2 seasons. But even the past 2 seasons, he has been an average player. He would be a very good back up center IMO. He is just lucky in Boston to have players around him that can hide the holes in his game.
