I think I made a much mocked comment that he's more athletic than a prime KG. Much debated, but he's already putting up numbers right there with peaking KG. And vastly better as a shot blocker. Not quite the rebounder but still elite.
Oh no doubt, KG took a little while to get going. But KG was one of the best defensive anchors, team and man defenders in NBA history. KG might not have been the same level of a shot-blocker, but Davis has a ways to go before he's KG level of defense.
