NBA players aside from Barkley and Calvin Murphy can't fight. I can only think of two times where a player landed a solid punch on someone else's head (Kermit v. Rudy and Kareem v. Kent Benson). Erving got a few jabs in on Bird, but those were light.

Ben v. Ron would be a man-hug fest on the scorer's table, imo.

not that it really matters, but ron was a golden gloves amateur boxer and trained as a boxer for many years during his youth....and on occasion mentions his love for boxing....

if anyone would be holding/hugging it would most likely be wallace....

but if he didnt, i would be much more interested in seeing that boxing match than the current heavyweights in boxing....

seems there would be far more drama in an artest/wallace matchup than most of the fights these days...

It definitely isn't fat, as I saw the Pacers vs. Nets and Wolves. Also, Artest went into a bit of detail about how he added mass in the interview:

Question: You added weight, right?

Ron Artest: Yeah, I added about ten pounds. It was fat going into training camp, and then I got it down into muscle.

Question: So what do you weigh now?

Ron Artest: 260.

Question: And what should you weigh?

Ron Artest: I wish I was 280.

Question: You'd rather be 280?

Ron Artest: Yeah. Somebody gotta stop Shaq.

Question: Are you really 260?

Ron Artest: Yeah.
