Rod Beck - Dead at age 38

Rod Beck, who saved 286 games in a 13-year major league career, has died at the age of 38.
The cause of death is unknown at this time.
Beck, who played for the Giants, Cubs, Red Sox and Padres, was a three-time All-Star and saved a career-best 51 games with the Cubs in 1998.

Man, thats sad. I remember watching him pitch at Fenway when I lived in Boston. He was lights out for a few years there, especially when he was in SF and Chicago. Anyone remember the story about him living in a motor home a few years back, and how he had a neon beer sign in the window, and when it was on it meant he was awake, and when it was off, it meant he was out or asleep?

He actually looks younger in that picture than he did in his prime. I was shocked that he was only 38, I always assumed he was pushing 40.
