I am surprised that The Futuristic Past is an 8 seed, but I may appreciate the Hammett/Cornell pairing more than others. Cornell has the range to sing in a variety of styles/decades, and Hammett can go a variety of ways.

Wow, I totally missed the Larry Graham pick by tradepeja. Great pairing of him and ?uestlove on bass and drums, at least you know you can have an interesting rendition of "Everybody is a Star."

NME's band is a powerhouse, plain and simple.

These seedings are wildly different from my personal rankings. I had Sackings and GGG a lot higher.

Sorry GGG, you would have had my vote against almost anyone but myself. I love the three old school picks and John Doe. Did you ever hear the tape of Buddy's meltdown? "You wanna **** with me on the bandstand?!?"
