Actually I'm voting right now. Gotta love Oregon vote by mail (I drop mine off at the library on election day to hang onto some element of the old way).

I vote absentee every year. My ballot was in a couple weeks ago.

I seriously don't know why they don't start counting mail-in ballots early if they are so concerned about the time it takes to count them after the polls close.....

In Oregon they do count everything as it comes in. 90% of the votes are counted by the "official" close at 8pm. I'd love to see our system become the national standard.
