Reggie Theus On TNT

He will have an interview with cheryl miller coming up after the Laker loss so i just wanted to tell everyone so they can tune in. Sorry if this thread is in the wrong spot.

I hope you're being sarcastic...

Not really, I didn't catch the whole thing but I hate Vujacic and it looked like he flopped pretty badly. Not like Melo did anything real harmful. Just took out his frustration by giving a hard foul to a known flopper. I don't see what's so bad about that. A player has to have some pride. Denver was already out of the game anyway. Not like he tried to murder him or beat him up. Just looked like he pushed him a little on the throat and Vujacic flopped.

He grabbed a guy in motion by the throat, and pushed him down to the floor. I don't think you're allowed to call "flop" on that.

i'll be watching.

but i wonder what the guys (kenny and charles) will comment on the interview and about the kings after the interview.

Barkley just agreed with me and CalBears, he said it was a bad call and basically a flop. He didnt grab him that hard. Give me a break bro. VUjacic went down like Ginobili does.

Damn, well I guess if Barkley says so, then it must be true... He grabbed a guy that was running towards the basket by the throat; I'd like to see if someone did that to you, and see if you didn't "flop," too.

NICE piece and I liked the shoutout to us Kings fans by Barkley. And, in a scary postscript, I pretty much found myself agreeing with everything Sir Charles had to say.

i tell ya what.. kim jong il is crazy. he gon' blow up tha worl an we all gon' be in little bittie pieces watching basketball.. back to you ernie

I missed the interview, what did Barkley have to say about it? sounds like it was something halfway decent!

Among other things, Barkley said the main problem with athletes today is they make entirely too much money and if things get too bad, some of them (meaning, of course, the Knicks) just "quit" on the team and go through the motions. He and Kenny actually named names about the players they thought DIDN'T quit and it was a very short list, led by David Lee.

In the lead-in to the Cheryl Miller interview with Reggie Theus, which was VERY good, Sir Charles said the Kings "aren't very good right now" but that they (meaning the Kings) have the best fans in the NBA and they'll turn this around. He also said that we need to get rid of our old guys and talked about Bibby and Artest having market value. Someone mentioned Kevin and Charles said we should definitely keep Martin as he can be an integral part of our rebuild. He didn't even mention KT or SAR but did say something about a lot of dead wood (I think that was the phrase) on the bench.

Kenny talked quite a bit about Reggie. He said if Theus had been on a top team he might easily have been one of the top 50 players of all time. He said he thinks he'll make an excellent NBA coach eventually because he has the passion, even though he (Kenny) was surprised at first when Theus went into coaching at the college level.

Thanks for the recap - I missed it.

Yeah, thanks VF. Good to hear all of that!

Well Barkley, and Theus are good friends so I don't see Barkley regging on the Kings as he has in the past. I think he will show respect to Theus.

Not that I care what Barkley thinks :p

It was in the context of Kenny thinking Reggie would have taken his game to the next step had he been on a top team. He said something about being around top competitors bringing out the very best in some players and that Theus might have been one of them...
