Reggie Evans to Knickies??

Free-agent power forward Reggie Evans, who lives in Florida, popped in and said he would entertain a Knick offer July 1. The Knicks attempted to trade for Evans in February but the Sonics dealt him to Denver. "If they contacted me, my ears would be open," Evans said. "I was aware (of their interest). It's always good when a team wants you. I really appreciated it."

Would be a good pick up for Knicks, as he'd compliment Curry on his lack of rebounding and hustle.

Still need a bunch more to fix that team though.

I just don't get why people would want to be a Knick right now. In the past, yes but that team is such a disaster right now at all levels.

He just assumes that his level of play guarantees him as good a contract as one dude named Jerome James received last summer. No one is going to pay this kind of money so if Larry wants him (means will play him) why not take the most money he can get?

Well

a) the Knicks are stupid, thoughtless moneybags -- he's probably hoping they will dump their whole MLE on him and pay him $20 mil or more. For $20 mil I might take a job in Baghdad (er...maybe not ;) ).

b) NYC actually is more than a bit of an attraction for the young and wealthy -- no better place to have money to burn.

So if you're like Evans, a journeyman bouncing from place to place, more interested in landing a nice fat contract and establishing yourself than necessarily going to a winner right now, the Knicks have to look like a legit option.

Good points brick, what was I thinking? Bball players that might actually want to be on a contending team:eek: Silly me;)

This goes into Isiah Thomas's master plan--- "attain the entire Seattle Supersonics roster under any conditions!"

He'll trade for Fortson next.

Would not be surprised at all. It wasn't too long ago when the Knicks were contenders. In fact, they were the ones who got me hooked on basketball. The first game i ever watched was Knicks-Kings. No need to tell you which team i liked more.

I'd love to see the Knicks get back to being a good team again, I used to like watching them and all their rivalries, excitement in the garden.

Gonna take some years though.
