Re-hire rick adelman??? I like it

With our roster improving and getting deeper with talent im not that confident that paul westpaul is the coach we should have going forward. He has not shown me anything since we hired him that gives me any confidence he will be a good coach and help us get wins.

With that being said looking at the coaches that are available what do you all think about hiring Rick Adelman again? #1 he has proven to be a WINNING COACH and is very good with using his players and even making sub par ones be even better. I am a supporter of bringing back adelman to lead this group of young guys and help get our kings back to winning games and being a presence in the playoffs.
 
Boy do I wish we could get Rick back, but basically the Maloofs would have to be gone for that to happen. I still hope it could happen though.
 
Adelman was a good coach but that era is over. Westphal deserves a chance to show what he can do with a full NBA quality roster, something he hasn't had these past two years.
 
It just makes sense to me, we want to win and to win you need a good coach, adelman is the best coach available if u ask me and i always thought we let him go way too early. We have had bad coaches since we let go of adelman. the maloofs blew it big time but they could make up for it by bringing him back. I dont see how its not being looked at. BOTTOM LINE, we want to win we need a GOOD COACH to do that..

As exciting as it is to add this talent, I am really nervous with Westphal as the coach because he just can't help himself with trying different line up of musical chairs. He has new toys to play with and he is going to try all the possible combinations and before you know it, its half way through the season and we have one of the worst records in the NBA.

Adelman would have clearly defined roles and system in place but as long as Maloofs are the owners, he won't be coaching the Kings unfortunately.

With Tyreke and Garcia's injuries, Cousins lockeroom problems and suspension, and a plethory of young inconsistent players... i really don't know what you expect Paul Westphal to do. Any coach would have had to switch the lineup over and over again. The only players who had real defined roles were Beno and Thorton because they were the only consistent players that weren't injured for a 4th of the season.
 
Westphal deserves one more chance with the way the team looked to end the year. If he reverts back to the guy aimlessly tossing lineups out there with no hint of a system or an ideology on how to play, the time to bust out the hook! Exit stage left!
 
a) Adelman is not coming back with the Maloofs there

b) we've already said Westphal is the coach next season, if there is a next season
 
I want to give Westphal the benefit of the doubt. But I have a justified fear that with new players coming in, we are going back to the wild starting lineups and rotations for half a season. This guy is really slow at figuring out players and how they best fit out on the court.
 
@Bricklayer, i understand that the maloofs will not hire rick again and to me that is just plain stupid. Put the BS behind you and get us a coach who wins. I dont know why people want to give WESTPAUL a chance, he will never be as good a coach as rick adelman period. It pretty simple to me, we want to win. The maloofs talk a good game and all saying they are commited to making us a winning team again so with that being said what coach gives us the best chance to WIN. ------- WESTPAUL OR ADELMAN????????????-------- GET YOUR HEAD OUT OF YOUR A** MALOOFS PUT YOUR MONEY WHERE YOUR MOUTH IS AND HIRE A GOOD COACH TO GUIDE THE SHIP!!!! Im more then worried about westpaul not making the best decisions and getting the most out of our squad!
 
adelman era is over. how about we give westphal a chance with areal roster. this team is an 8th seed at best anyway.

Its more likely Adelman wouldn't want to come back regardless if the Maloofs wanted him. He wasn't exactly happy they didn't renew his contract and there was some bad blood the year he left.

I'm good with seeing what Westphal can do one more season with a more experienced roster... even he knows if something promising doesn't happen he's a gonner. You wouldn't even have to show him the door... he'd show himself..
 
I've read a reliable source say the Maloofs are in talks with PJ Brown as the next head coach for the season after this...should be interesting..

I approve anything PJ Brown.

PJ Brown has no coaching experience, right? This is not good if the Maloofs are trying to step in and dictate who the coach is going to be again. History has shown us that's not a good idea.
 
that would be a first. I have never heard of owners talking to a coach about a job one year from now LOL. I call strawman on the the PJ Brown talks.
