Randy Brown on the kings staff.....?

it could happen:

Brown to return to Kings on Theus' staff?

Former Kings and Chicago Bulls guard Randy Brown said new coach Reggie Theus asked if he were interested in joining his staff.

"I said, 'Hell, yeah, I'm interested,' " Brown said Monday evening from Chicago. "That's the team that drafted me. I love the area, and I was with (Ron) Artest and Brad (Miller) their rookie years."

Brown also played at New Mexico State, where Theus just completed a two-year stint.

Always really liked Randy as a player, but never thought he was exactly a great thinker out there. Still, defensive roleplayer, championship experience, that's kind of prime turf for NBA coaching recruitment.

Interesting the depth + variety of the connections there, although I really really hope the Miller/Artest stuff is irrelevant.

Does he have previous coaching experience?

Not someone I'm excited about. As a third assistant, he'd be ok I guess.

i liked randy as a player. good hustle guy and defender. we need someone with his personality on the bench

A coaching staff traditionally has four or five assistants. Theus was referring to his lead assistant post when he mentioned the experienced coach, NOT all the positions.

i know that i just was being sarcastic.....

because no way in the world Rand "roleplayer career" Brown could ever be a experienced coach :)

i do believe Petrie would recomend Paul Silas
he would be a wonderful addition to the squad

Brown could be my James Worthy. No experience, and a few championships. Nice.
