I thought the same thing at another forum, about the drugs maybe.
You know its bad if we are wondering if he is using or has a mental impairment.
If it is either of those get the man some help.
But his play has went from logical to outright almost magical trash. Seriously an all city high school pg could run the offense better.

At this point what do we have to lose? I mean other than more games. Sessions has crossed the line from solid vet to veteran player who is rusty to WTF. They paid how much for 2 years of this crap? A Veteran backup PG's job is to come in when the starter needs to rest, and on rare occasion fill in for the starter for a few games due to injuries. They receive the ball in the back court and bring the ball to the front court with or without pressure and initiate the offense. Score just enough to keep the defense honest and set up teammates for shots in positions where they are comfortable shooting. Guard the opposing team's backup PG and on occasion the other team's starting PG and play team defense.
Sessions has done exactly none of these things. At this point he is shaping up to be the biggest bust in PDA's short career as a GM. And I think the worst part is he looks almost ambivalent about the whole thing. Like whatever he does, turn the ball over, miss wide open shots by a mile, play ole' defense against every player he defends, dribble the ball off his foot, or just plain turn the ball over again and again, he seems not to care much really. His body language does not bespeak anger. He appears satisfied with his efforts even though no one else is.
I think a veteran PG can be found to replace him, and I think PDA should be looking to trade him if at all possible. Lets hope Collison gets healthy and then we can play more RAYMAC and leave Sessions at the end of the bench with his 2 year contract. There is 4 mil down the drain.

Sessions has said that he did not leave the Lakers because of Kobe. I actually believe that. I think he wanted to find a team with possibility to be the starting PG. That didn't happen with the Hornets/Bobcats because of Kemba Walker and he was subsequently traded. That might have been his idea coming to the Kings as well. When it didn't happen, he probably has thoughts of moving on.

As fun as all this bashing is, I wonder if there's something seriously physically or mentally wrong with him. Something is off. He's not this bad. He's not great, but he really isn't this bad. Or I didn't think he was this bad.
How bad is Ray if he can't even get minutes over sessions? Either malone is insane, or he feels he has no other legit options.

Why try to turn Nik into a PG instead of simply using Ray?

I don't think that Sessions is bad at all. However, I think his skillset is not best fitted to the Kings style basketball. I think Sessions would do better in a run and gun type of team. The Kings play a relatively slow and physical game. I'm trying to think if, when the Kings team starts to know each other better, the team style and Sessions game start to converge or the opposite. He must know that he can't supercede Collison, because Collison is the faster of them and way better ball handler.

I don't care how much Ray has appeared to or actually has struggled, he's a much better all around player for our team going forward...including the intangibles such as heart, passion, and energy, which directly influence culture and chemistry.
Just commit to playing Ray Mac and let him develop, which is what should have happened after his nice showing in summer league. A mistake has been made, lets hope it gets corrected ASAP...otherwise it will continue to hurt our record

Just the defensive improvement that Ray Mac provides over Sessions cancels out any imaginary advantage Session brings to the Offensive side. Then factor in that Ray Mac handles the ball better, shoots better, attacks rim better, rebounds better and DUNKS better. What is the downside to Ray Mac over Sessions?

That's the part that isn't making any sense in reality. The only potential "upside" is the perception that a veteran who's been in the league for many years will provide stability. The reality in front of our eyes, is that is simply not the case here. It's actually the complete opposite. Lets face it now, rather than much later... and move on accordingly

For 19 games of his rookie year Hurley put up good numbers, especially for a rookie. He averaged over 7 assist a game. After the accident, he was never the same player. Dammed shame, but in retrospect, considering his injuries, he's lucky to be alive today.

I originally thought that the Sessions acquisition was a good one. No more! Too many times he becomes a turnover machine. He's on the verge of being out of control half the time. I almost breathe a sigh of relief when McCallum comes into the game. He clearly outplays Sessions. Time for a change.

He played quite a few games in the PlayOffs for them, though. He averaged 31 mpg in the PO with them in 2012.

I'm totally with you on this one. Jason SHart was probably the worst PG we ever had here that got significant minutes. When fans are calling for Ronnie Price to get more minutes than you, you forking suck.

I don't think his problems are physical, he's moving the same speed he always have moved in his entire career including this preseason (where he was excellent), he's never been a elite athlete but he always had just enough quickness to get to the rim. I just can't understand how he can go from beasting at the end of last season to literally not being able to dribble a basketball (something he as done well in the last 6 or so years) this year.
He literally looks like what Manu looked like in the first finals series against the Heat (where the Spurs lost) where he was was horrendous and literally was dribbling the ball out of bounds and into players non-stop. There has to be some sort of mental issue you can't go from being a very solid back up to a guy who looks like would get trashed in the Chinese League. Even his passing which was great in the preseason (he was making overhead bullet passes through traffic on the regular) has just gone, not since Manu Ginboili's meltdown in the finals have I seen a guard who could always handle/pass the ball not be able to do it.
I have no explanation for it, he was never a bad player and it's not like he's out of his athletic prime either. He literally looks like he's on meth or drunk when he's playing atm.

Not convinced that Jeremy Lin is the answer (and he is extremely expensive). He would not be happy coming from the bench and he is TO prone as well. I actually think that there is no reason to decide in a hurry. Let Ramon play and figure it out how to stop turning the ball over and moving the ball. Getting furious after one game is not a rational way to deal with problems. Sure, it's not one game, but still it is only 15 games into the season. There's plenty of time before the deadline.

The good thing about NBA is that you gan fix your mistakes very soon (in a day or two). So, let's go Ramon, show us that you can contribute. Parker is a handful. That's the test.
I hope not... hopefully they can buy into the idea of D-Will's high flying type of player. It would be a great trade for us.

It would be a horrible trade for us. We can't spend 8 million on a back up point guard, and there's no way I'm sending Collison to the bench with what he's done for us this year.
