I forgot to check meribarb's site. Thanks for posting that pic, Reina.ReinadelosReys said:
they definitely screwed up the call you are referring to. and they may have screwed up the call last night. i don't think so based on the clip i saw. i wouldn't put money on it. but i see no need for crow, because they mess up calls, it goes with the business.swisshh said:I'd just like to point out that the refs called a goaltending violation in that Spurs game when Evans was at least a few inches away from even touching the ball, and now they don't call a goaltending when logic and replays show it obviously was. In other words, Dave needs to eat some crow about officiating in the NBA.
Well...no Wiz player did a goaltending/block in that game that may determine the result of the game, right?Dave McNulla said:we weren't right. spurs shot too many three pointers. spurs didn't play tight enough D late in the game. spurs had too many turnovers. spurs let them get too many offensive rebounds. it's not the officials' fault.
YupBricklayer said:<sigh> I think they blew the call. But this has all gotten so silly. It was a blown call, but NOT an easy call. A very tough call in fact. And depending on the angle they were at, who knows what they saw? It requires no malfeasance, no ill will, and no conspiracy for them to have blown that call -- just a little old fashioned incompetence mixed with the refs' normal tendency to swallow the whistle on last second game deciding plays.
Enough already.

people remember the calls they think they got screwed on, they ignore and forget the calls that help them. i was screaming at the officials (spurs/wiz) through the tv until my wife told me to shut up. c'est la vie. it looked to all spurs fans that the officials were giving them home cooking.
