Question for Kings fans from KC-Omaha Kings days (if there are any on here)

I was wondering how they decided which games would be played in which city and why they did this. I went to www.nba.com/kings and went to the history section and could not find any information. If anyone on here could help me find some info, I would appreciate it.

I wasn't a fan of the Kings at the time but I am old enough to remember their split home games. As I recall it was late in their tenure in KC (the baseball A's had left for Oakland and the Chiefs were the dominant attraction in town) and attendance was down (right after Oscar Robertson went to the Bucks) and they were being courted by Omaha so the NBA allowed them to schedule their home games half and half.
