Question about Kings games on Dish Network

I'm thinking about going back to Dish Network but i got a question.

Now would i be able to watch all the Sacramento Kings games that are on Comcast Sports West (Channel 409) if i live up here in Spokane, WA (Sonics Territory). Or will they be blacked out because of maybe their deal with NBA Season Pass? Anyone know?

thanks all!! Kings in '06!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't believe that you will get Comcast Sports West in Washington with your basic channels, but I know that Dish has a sports package plan that I believe includes all of the Comcast sports channels from around the country.

They will be blacked out.

(Note: you might get lucky and see an occasional replay on the channel, but don't count on it).

Yup they will be blacked out. I have Direct TV in New Jersey and I got the premium package with the sports package which includes Comcast Sportsnet West. I get to see almost all kinds of sports but when it's gametime, it gets blacked out. Just get basic then get NBA League Pass. That's what I plan to do too.

I switched from cable to Dish a year ago because my cable company did not offer League Pass. I lived in Illinois at the time. Even though I could get lots of Comcast stations and Fox Sports stations because I purchased the extra sports package, all the NBA games were blacked out (except those on networks and ESPN and TNT). I had to purchase the League Pass to watch the Kings (and anyone else).

i also have dish network's nba league pass. it's great, however, the comcast sports west blacks out the kings games : (

That is because you are in the Bay Area. Since pilot305 lives in Spokane, the Kings games will not be blacked out if he pays for League Pass.

more DISH questions...

I live in Central California and I am wondering if I can get Kings games on DISH?
If not, then why would games blacked out in an area with no major or minor sports teams whatsoever?

The Comcast Channel that carries the game is carried by both DishNetwork and DirectTV. If you are living in the Kings Broadcast area as established by the NBA, you will get to watch Kings games. If you live outside the NBA allowed area, then the Kings games will be blacked out. Reason: they sell NBA League Pass and they want everyone to have to purchase it if they live outside the local area.
