The guy hasn't even had a preseason game or been able to practice since his injury and you are already estimating his rookie #s? Why don't you go ahead and tell me when he's going to eat shrimp next or when his first child will be born?

No, I just get tired of such meaningless drivel when we have nothing to judge by. We haven't seen him play anything other than a couple summer league games. We have a new coach, a new style of play, and a rookie player that hasn't even been able to be in camp or play a preseason game.
I mean, really, could this thread be any more pointless? Do you really think anyone has any information that could make any predictions something other than WAGs? And is that really what you were looking for? A WAG on something that is (at this point) meaningless to begin with?

I think your response was out of line, and I recall the topic says "what do you think hawes PROJECTED NUMBERS?" you didnt have to respond at all, you just had a smart comment to say, their is no need for that. keep it to yourself.

Based on what, exactly? Where do you think Reggie is going to find 20 mins for him with Miller, Moore, Thomas, SAR, Artest is limited minutes (when playing small-ball), Watkins, and Williams all potentially on the roster as well?
He's an injured rookie right now who has missed all of training camp. I really don't see 20 mins per game being a realistic possibility right now without some pretty severe injuries or trades....

Yes, it's a forum that tries to, as much as possible, rise above the stupid crap that gets posted at lots of other forums with reasoned discourse on interesting topics. Folks typically try to back up their opinions with reasons.

No, I don't think you do. Where does it say, anywhere, that a 10th pick gets 20 mins per game? I seem to recall the coach saying players will earn their PT. And he's earned it how? By being injured? By missing camp? My missing every preseason game? We have a veteran center (Miller) and a recently acquired Moore, who is starting to get into a groove at the end of camp and several preseason games. The rookie has had no time to gel with teammates or really get to know the game on the floor. And once the season starts, there will be precious few practices to really let it all hang out and see what they can do.
See, that is what is called reasoning behind a response or opinion. What I quoted from you (above), really doesn't count.
It's not a powertrip at all. Had you been asking about Salmons, or Miller, or Martin I could understand it and would like to see people's answers. But you picked the one guy who nobody has seen play in any meaningful manner (summer league doesn't count), and start with the projections. It's just.....pointless and meaningless now. Just starting a thread because you can, almost. For a 10th pick. On a forum that many hated to see him chosen there. What, really, did you expect to come of this thread?
And at this point, it is going to suffer a long overdue closure.
