"The Good, The Bad and the Walking Wounded"

As the Kings finished off their pre-season without Mike Bibby, fans were left scratching their heads and wondering what else could happen.

So far, we have Ron Artest serving a 7-game suspension, Spencer Hawes recovering from knee surgery, Justin Williams in limbo until an investigation is resolved, Brad Miller with some kind of back problem (reportedly minor but still something to at least raise an eyebrow about) and now MIke Bibby with a torn ligament in his off-hand that could keep him out until the first part of 2008.

And those are just the injuries.

We also have the same problem of who to play at the power forward and now, with Bibby out, we need to address the situation at the point guard slot. If Petrie doesn't go outside and find a veteran to come in and fill the gap, the most likely choice to step up is probably Orien Greene. Not a Bibby replacement, to be sure, but someone with a lot more experience than the other hopefuls.

As if Reggie Theus didn't have enough to worry about as it was. He seems to be taking it all in stride and doing a fine job. I thought it would be hard to make the playoffs with everyone healthy, now (IMO anyway) it would seem like a miracle. I believe in miracles though so GO KINGS!!!!!!

Orien Greene is sure moving up in the world. From possibly not making a team to opening day starting PG. Quite an off-season for that guy.
