Grammar tip of the day:
Lose vs. Loose

Lose refers to loss. I can lose my keys, or lose a game of tennis, or lose my mind; or lose potential revenue. The word "loser" is also slang for a misfit, especially someone who has seldom been successful at a job, personal relationship, etc.

Loose, on the other hand, is the opposite of tight. For example, the screws were loose so the chair fell apart when Humpty Dumpty sat on it. The word "Loose" is sometimes also used to denote moral decadence (as in loose character).

Example:
Vivek may be loose with his wallet, but if he doesn't make smart choices, his team will lose.

On to the rankings!
Apparently some slackers took the week off, much like the defense played in the all-star game. David Arsenault wonders why people enjoyed such a low scoring game.

It will be interesting to see if George Karl slows the Kings back down after they picked up the pace (and played worse) under Tyrone Corbin. The Nuggets played at a top-five pace in each of Karl's eight full seasons in Denver. But seven of his 15 full seasons before that, including four of five in Milwaukee, were played at a pace slower than the league average.
This week: vs. BOS, @ LAC

The camp for Jason Thompson, the longest-tenured Kings player, would prefer that he is traded before the deadline, a source said.

The All-Star break couldn't come soon enough for a disintegrating Kings team. Three head coaches in one season is a recipe for disaster. But now George Karl has 30 games to get DeMarcus Cousins and Rudy Gay to buy in and build a foundation for next season. (James Ham, Cowbell Kingdom)

I wonder if the Pace issue was part of the negotiating Karl did? The Coach should have the power to play at whatever Pace he wants. Especially when your two best players excel in the post up game.

As an educator, I'm already a socialist, no?

Aha! Commies always crack in the end! You know why? Because in their hearts they know they are wrong -- they secretly want to get caught!

Quit corrupting our youth, red!
