Potential Free Agent/Trade/Sign Tracker, '25-'26 Season

He didnt have FA market like there is no FA market this year. Teams dont have cap space to spend. It's an MLE market.
This exactly, it's also more or less how we got DDR. It's probably why Fox is just the beginning of players demanding out to their preferred FA destinations via trade, although I think we're more likely to see instances like Dame where they sign their contract then demand out.

Well the local media seems to be landing on a few things:

Schroder is most likely going to be a King (Re-signing with Pistons is still a possibility though)

Deebo is likely a King

Monk is likely traded and his value is not great league wide.

Next year is likely a gap year/ evaluation year.

I’m actually ok with this because we can get a good draft pick in a deep class and get a better understanding of what our players are BUT there are major issues with development opportunities with Deebo still on the team. Also, if we trot out Schroder/Lavine/Deebo/Keegan/Domas we will get crushed defensively. Now, move Deebo to the bench and start another defender then things could be fine.

Hopefully that Schroder deal takes reality into account, 2 years and no more. That is still a squad full of proven players, see what DC can do and then at the deadline reassess.

Not sold we actually sign Schroder. Last I saw we have 21 under the tax. Keon should eat at least half of that.

I like Monk for Naji/Martin

I'd then move Demar to the 6th man so we limit his minutes with Zach.

Sabonis/JVal/Maxime
Keegan/Martin - Glue Guy Role
Naji/Nique - Swiss Army knife Role
LaVine/Demar - Scoring Role
Keon/Carter - 3&D Role

Not only does this make us a long athletic team overnight, it improves the defense, and I think you don't have to force a trash point guard like Schroder/Tyus. With Keon, Lavine, Naji, Sabonis all capable handlers

Deebo is maybe our best scorer and not the worst contract but if he's on the court we are just going to stand and watch. My first preference would be moving him.

Deebo's not going to sit around quietly for a "gap" year (the concept is ridiculous - you're either evaluating young talent or trying to win with old). I think that there will be a market for him from an Eastern team but he may want to stay West.

I’m curious about Cleveland’s FA Ty Jerome. Does anyone think he’s a good target as a starting lead guard or would he just add to our abundance of guards more suited at two.

offensively he is nice, but defensively he will get exposed here and there.
I think that was one of the reasons the cavs lost the series.

Thanks. I’m just thinking of PG possibilities outside of some of the more frequently mentioned stop gap veterans. Be nice to get a younger established guy who can grow with this team

I dont see why Brogdon is not possible. I know there are injury concerns but he is a good floor general, can shoot and is at least no minus on defense

On top of the injury concerns I’ve heard he doesn’t have the best attitude. Probably the last thing this team needs after last season.

Tyus Jones is a solid player. Great shooter and always carries one of the best AST/TO ratios in the game.

I just don't buy Vivek letting Perry stay patient after everything that transpired last season. If he were truly fine staying patient, he wouldn't have signed off on canning Brown and canning Monte and let them continue to build on the core they built.

Yeah, in a way, it would actually show that Vivek is hands off and Perry has the keys to this thing. But equally, would suck because we have to watch the same team next year lol

I’d say if they bring the team back then they better commit to this depth Scott keeps talking about. No more 40 minute nights for Deebo and others. If they trade Monk for front court help, reduce Deebo to 30 min, Lavine to 35 you can find plenty of minutes for Keon, Devin and Big Red

are you referring to to Collison?

He's referring to the guys that didn't have big numbers early in their careers but their metrics were showing that they were on the verge of potentially exploding. Either that or they were just more effective basketball players than their numbers showed. Normally they were role players or fringe starters that could potentially be had for cheap at the time. We normally find one or two of them every offseason and wish the Kings would make a move on them but it never seems to happen.

VanVleet
Kyle Anderson
Boucher
Tyus Jones
Vanderbilt

I'm sure Jamal remembers a few more.

Hartenstein and Naz Reid were two more I remember

Yeah Hartenstein is probably my own personal biggest hit. Loved Monk the year before he came to Sacramento and what he did for the Lakers. Naz I wasn't as bullish on as Hartenstein, but he was another one. The Martin twins

Got it, thanks. I misunderstood The Jamal post.
So thoughts on who’s a long-term hit this year.

The one guy who pops is Ty Jerome, who was ridiculously good last year. Overwhelming in pretty much everything.

BUT, a age 27 breakout is a little concerning and he was put in a great situation with the Cavs. I think he's probably legit good, but certainly a little riskier than some past bets who broke out at an earlier age.

Ill keep looking for some names I like though
