So the Kings have lost 5 in a row, looking back I can't find the last time they lost 6 in a row.

So will they set the 'record' in NY ?
Ah young man, once upon a time 6 in a row was nothing. ;)

In fact I think we had a late season collapse even back in '00 that may have netted us 6 in row. But I'd almost guarantee if yuo start sorting through the '98 and earlier years you;d fins one pretty quick.

REAL quick. In fact, in 1997-98, we had FOUR 6+ game losing streaks: six games, seven games, twelve games, and then another seven-game losing streak to close out the season.

Indeed, I do remember the days where you didn't go to watch em win, you went to see how badly they would lose, and sometimes you rooted for a huge loss.

But in terms of modern Maloof era, this is a new low.

Are you serious

The blazers play in the west and have a 15-23 recored and would just be 2 games behind first place in the alantic divison. If the blazers played in the east (the weaker conf) full time i would image them leading that divison right now.

Just randomly off the top of my memory, didn't the Kings lose 40+ road games IN A ROW back in the Richmond days? I think they ended it in Orlando... or Maybe Mitch went for 45 and they still lost. It's all kinda blurry. lmao.

43. An NBA record that wont be surpassed for a long long time.

I believe we last lost 6 in a row in 2000. It was a big road trip.

Apparently I imagined the Grizzlies breaking our record. Because after a lot of googling I've concluded they never came anywhere near it. Ignore anything I may have originally said on this post :)

1997 - 1998 = 4 game losing streak (0-4), 6 GLS (5-14), 5 GLS (17-26), 7 GLS (24-36), 12 GLS (26-48), 7 GLS (27-55)*

1998 - 1999 = 3 GLS (5-6), 3 GLS (9-12), 4 GLS (11-16)*

1999 - 2000 = 3 GLS (13-9), 4 GLS (31-24), 3 GLS (43-34), 4 GLS (44-38)* / 6 GRLS (IND, PHI, UTAH, DEN, VAN, HOU)***

2000 - 2001 = 3 GLS (31-15)*

2001 - 2002 = 2 GLS (5 times)

2002 - 2003 = 3 GLS (3-3), 3 GLS (32-14)*

2003 - 2004 = 2 GLS (8 times)

2004 - 2005 = 3 GLS (0-3), 4 GLS (32-18), 3 GLS (36-24)*

2005 - 2006 = 5 GLS (7-12), 5 GLS (10-17), 3 GLS (17-24)*

*Any season above with 3 GLS or higher, I did not include 2 GLS.

**On November 23, 1991, the Kings defeated Orlando, 95-93, ending an NBA record 43-game road losing streak.

***There were home games in between that came with wins and losses

This may be ill-omen but I do not remember Kings doing very will at all at the Garden even in the Webber era. I remember Peja specifically saying "We never beat them." It's also a road game. It's two different teams now but bet 6 down.
