Have to agree with Brick here, as much as I wanted Maggette here before, Artest wil make a much bigger impact (postively or negatively) than Corey ever could. Essentially, Maggette will just become another scorer that we don't need, whereas a sane Artest brings so much more to the table. He won't be a saviour but he will make a big difference (again postively or negatively)

I don't know about a three team deal right now. Seems to me we should demand Artest honor his contract and when he doesn't trade him for more than we could get trading Peja.

If the kings just decide not to do the Artest deal (which I would not blame them if they don't) they are screwed. There is no way that Peja will ever play with the Kings after this season. Petrie is going to have to find a deal before the trade deadline:

Chicago - Nochioni, Deng or Ben Gordon
Boston (with Kenny Thomas) - Paul Pierce
Orlando - Hedo Turkoglu

I'm for a Corey Maggette deal as well. I'd REALLY like Pierce, but I don't see how that's going to happen. Maggette is actually realistic at this point.

we are not going to be invloved in a 3 way trade because Indiana has specifically said they would only trade artest for another player in a 2 team trade. And besides, i thought Maggette was injured and that he needs surgery on his ankle.

I hope that something like that has a possibility of going through. I doubt it though since bird bird and Indiana said they wanted to keep this trade simple (and look how that turned out). Moral of the story is i want peja traded, but i dont want artest. For me that would be the best of both worlds.
