How many wins in 2015-2016 season?

Because of the vast amount of difference in our team since the first poll was taken 7/4, it seems only reasonable to take the poll again.

Assuming we stay healthy, how many wins do you think we'll get?

So Much depends on the Karl/DMC dynamic. If they are fine - I say 46-50 wins. We want to prove people wrong. We have the best C, A top SF, a top PG, good interior defense, and a bench now. We also added 3 pt shooting

I got 41-45. As mentioned that is assuming we stay healthy and everybody gets along reasonably well. They don't need to be best pals or anything, just respect each other and do their jobs and win some games.

Screw it, go big or go home. 46-50 wins and the surprise team of the West and into the playoffs! Team chemistry got off to a great start last night and Karl put his big boy pants on last night and made the first move to a professional relationship between him and DMC. Plus, I am going to choose to believe in Rondo. He's just got too much experience and his IQ is too high to not be of any benefit to us.

Sticking with 52. I think this team, as assembled, is a play off team ad I think it will take that to get in. The jump is only huge if you think of it in terms of what we won the last few years, well, ok, actually last almost decade, BUT this is NOT those teams. This is a whole new era....... and I'm a optimist (suddenly) This team has a clean slate as far as I am concerned
As Vlade said in his interview yesterday when asked if he thought the Kings would make the play offs (paraphrasing) "Of course, you play sports to win, not lose"

If we won 29 games with probably the craziest most disruptive season in sports and we are returning with a better roster and some stability, how can you not be optimistic?

I don't think you can anticipate injuries or any other dustups, so from a talent standpoint alone, we are a 46-50 win team.

On the first poll I chose 36-40. With the changes that came after the poll I have readjusted my prediction to 41-45. The Kings won 29 games last season. 13+ more wins is big because the NBA is very competitive. I'm now hoping for a .500 season. The playoffs still seem a little out of our reach even with the changes. Initially I had predicted a 39 win season- 10 more than last season.

I now predict 43 or 44 victories.
When the season ends I will come back to this thread to see how I came out.

Go Kings!

I see the previous team with healthy Cousins and Malone all the way as a 40 win team.

With crazily improved bench, more knowledgeable coach and trust in Divac to be able to control egos it has to be more than 5 games improvement. To play it safe, 46-50 :-)
The only caveat, Cousins and Guy play 65+ games together.

I posted this earlier but I will amend it slightly with the addition of Luc Richard:

Remember the start to the season that the Kings had where they were beating great teams and started 9-5 until Cousins got sick? They showed last season BEFORE they got Rondo, Belinelli, Koufos, Butler, Bargnani, Willie Cauley-Stein, Anderson, and Luc Richard that they can play with and beat almost anyone.

Remember, Cousins missed 23 games, Rudy missed 14 games, and Collison missed 37 games last season and the team was obviously tanking toward the end of the season.

31 games: That is all that Boogie, Rudy, and Darren played together last season. Therefore, for me, the 29 wins they had last season was as bad as it can get.

Thus, I don't know who that knocks out of the playoffs but someone will miss the playoffs this season and the Kings will get in

I said 38-44 with wanting a look at WCS first, and since then we've added some more to the roster. WCS looks about as good as expected to me, and so does the final roster fill outs.

Jumping to 44-38 now.

I gave it 51-55. I'm pretty sure everyone on the team just wants to win. We have lots of talent, one of the best players in basketball, one of the best small forwards, a deep bench, veteran players, a stabilized front office, and a coach that doesn't miss the playoffs. When I look at our team I honestly see a group that is poised to be successful. It really seems like the wacky experiment phase is over for our front office.

I dont think 50 or 51 wins is a crazy thought for a team with this much talent. I just dont look at teams like Houston or the Pelicans and think they have more talent or better talent. We can go head to head with the elite in the NBA with this team! Not only did we have one of the best starting 5's in the NBA last season, but now we will also have one of the best bench units!

Aside from Golden State or the Spurs, name to me a team that has better quality rotational players? All its gonna take for us is to gel as a team, and once we do that we will be unstoppable!

Dallas and Portland will probably not make it this year so keep that in mind!

Also Phoenix roughly stayed the same by trading Marcus Morris for nothing...

Pelicans should improve slightly

OKC will make it in barring injuries

Utah still is too inexperienced and needs a franchise player

Does Pdioz want to tell us why he thinks we will win 26-30 games? Come on.. whenever you take a guess that goes against what the rest of the board thinks you should offer an explanation. I am curious if you were joking or not.

He always wants to be "pleasantly surprised" ? Keep expectations low at all times LOL

To be honest, we have the potential to battle for the 2nd seed in our division, but will most likely end up 3rd. The Clippers are a powerhouse, but have some questions in regards to toughness and heart.

Rondo - Paul
Ben/Belinelli - JJ
Rudy - Pierce
WCS - Blake
Cousins - Jordan

They have a clear advantage at PF, the SG position for us is not awful anymore (who knows, maybe Ben becomes the star we hoped he could be by some miracle) though I would still give the SG edge to them. They still have the advantage at PG, though it isn't nearly as massive as it once was (hello Rondo!). We have the advantage at SF and C. We match up well talent wise. Now the benches:

Collison/Miller? - Crawford/Rivers
Ben/Bellinelli/Anderson- Lance/Crawford
Casspi/Butler/LRMAM - Johnson
LRMAM/?/Moreland - Hamilton?
Koufos - Alrdrich

The bench is interesting because the Clippers have improved it, though they lack big man depth completely at this point (Davis is a FA and so is Udoh), but my guess is they will find some players to fill it in with. Our bench can finally hang with the big boys and it can straight out-shine some others. We have a lot of depth and we are well balanced off the bench. Here we are, talking about comparing our roster to a perennial playoff team that has NBA finals talent level on it's roster, and we can't be laughed at. Wherever you look, we can have a response. This season is going to be interesting and a lot more fun than the past 9 years!

It's not even just our talent increase, it's how much versatility, experience, and skillset fit that we now have. We're a better roster than the Suns, Jazz, and Pels

Of all the teams George Karl has had, this may be his most "interesting" roster, in terms of how many options and 'buttons' he can use at any given time. Should be a lot of fun
